8:00 am – 8:45 am Breakfast with Dean and SBE’s Assessment Coordinators

9:00 am- 11:30 am Meeting with the School of Business and Economics Faculty

Dr. Maki will be meeting with the School of Business and Economics faculty to walk through one of the
degree programs, as an example, with the faculty asking questions as she proceed giving feedback. The
expected outcome is for the faculty to get a better understanding of where they are in the overall
assessment process, with emphasis on the following areas:
1. Feedback on the rubrics
2. The importance of collaboration among faculty teaching the same
course (different sections) in both developing the rubric and in
aligning how they are evaluating student work with the rubric
3. Faculty’s role in developing improvement plans
4. Provide examples of improvement plans

5. Importance of tracking assessment results year over year
6. Rubric evaluation methodologies (e.g., teams, committees, groups,
etc.)

1:00 pm- 3:30 pm Meeting with the School of Education Administrators and Assessment
Council

Dr. Maki will be meeting with the School of Education Administrators and Assessment Council
(to serve as an outside evaluator) to discuss her detailed feedback (to include recommendations) on the
following documents and processes:

1) The SOE's newly revised assessment manuals (undergraduate and graduate)

2) Descriptions of our 6-8 major assessments & rubrics for undergraduate students and A-licensure
candidates

3) Descriptions of our major assessments & rubrics for School Leadership candidates

4) Integrating NCDPI Teacher Performance Rubric and School Executive Rubric efficiently and effectively

5) Integrating feedback loop and Taskstream efficiently and effectively
