    This is a very interesting case that should have a significant effect on copyright trolls who file cookie cutter or boilerplate infringement complaints with the courts. Judge Robert S. Lasnik granted a motion to dismiss the case Elf-Man v. Does 1-152 because the complaints were insufficient. While the ruling was in the 9th District Court it will now be quoted throughout the country as law making the trolls work harder and actually present facts in their complaints.

    ORDER DENYING MOTION TO QUASH AS MOOT - 1

    UNITED STATES DISTRICT COURT WESTERN DISTRICT OF WASHINGTON AT SEATTLE ELF-MAN, LLC, Plaintiff, Case No. C13-0507RSL v. DOES 1 - 152, Defendants. ORDER DENYING MOTION TO QUASH AS MOOT

    This matter comes before the Court on a letter request to quash a subpoena issued to internet service providers in the above-captioned matter. Dkt. #13. On May 9, 2013, the Court quashed all subpoenas issued in this action and required plaintiff to immediately notify the internet service providers that they need not respond. Because the requested relief has already been granted, the pending motion to quash is DENIED as moot.
