Difference in CS and IT Information technology (IT)is a broad subject concerned with technology and other aspects of managing and

processing information, especially in large organizations. This is really good for individuals who don't like math because it offer less math courses even though you have to take accounting courses. You can get jobs such as database administrator, webmaster, programmer, software engineer, telecommunications, management, computer security analyst, etc. Computer science is the study of the theoretical foundations of information and computation and their implementation and application in computer systems. Good for jobs like software engineering, hardware engineering, computer science professor, programmer, etc. t the most basic level, Computer Science is a "Hard" Science, well grounded in what is now known in the field of Mathematics as Information Theory. Computer Science (as a field) is concerned with developing new ideas around the use and design of computing systems, and with the mathematical concepts of computation and information. Information Technology, on the other hand, is a practical Engineering discipline, concerned with implementing solutions to practical problems using current-day technology. Computer science is the study of the theoretical foundations of information and computation, and of practical techniques for their implementation and application in computer systems.Computer science has many sub-fields; some, such as computer graphics, emphasize the computation of specific results, while others, such as computational complexity theory, study the properties of computational problems. Still others focus on the challenges in implementing computations. Information science is an interdisciplinary science primarily concerned with the collection, classification, manipulation, storage, retrieval and dissemination of information. Practitioners within the field study the application and usage of knowledge in organizations, along with the interaction between people, organizations and any existing information systems, with the aim of creating, replacing or improving information systems. Information science is often (mistakenly) considered a branch of computer science. However, it is actually a broad, interdisciplinary field, incorporating not only aspects of computer science, but often diverse fields such as cognitive science, commerce, communications, law, library science, management, mathematics, public policy, and the social sciences.
