A Holy Lands RPG Supplement

This Supplement is based on the Demi-Races created by the Racmaster and Faith Quest Games for the 3rd Ed Online version of Holy Lands. This supplement may be used with the Holy Lands Trinity Ed until the third book in the series The Book of Dead is released with the Official Holy Lands monsters. Please note that the creatures (and stats) presented here may be superseded by the release of the Official game information. INTRODUCTION Demi-Races are races of beings that are half-man and half-demon, hence the term Demi-race, which means half-race. The Demi-Race origins are obscure and uncertain, but legends say that these creatures have walked the earth since before the time of Moses. There are some who are of the opinion that the Demi-Races are the direct offspring of the Nephilim, the fallen angels of ancient days, as the Sons of God and the Daughters of man got together, their offspring were the half man, half demon that became known as the Demi-Races. There are several types of Demi-Races, from giants to the small fairy, most of which we discuss further. All Demi-Races are different, but they all have a couple of characteristics in common; they are all relatively dangerous and can be quite evil compared to the human race. There are some exceptions to this fact, however, as you will see in some Demi-Race descriptions.
Demi-Races survive and thrive with like beings in societies both small and large. They are civilized enough to populate and cultivate their small villages in a productive manner. They have been known to war with other Demi-Races and with humans, but typically, creatures of a Demi-Race find comfort in small groups of their own kind. They often inhabit underground dwellings, secluded forests, dark caves, and small, forgotten villages that mimic human cultures, as these places offer some hiding from humankind.

Mostly evil, members of Demi-Races tend towards mischievousness if not unashamed evil, and therefore can never be trusted fully. However, legends and some first person accounts have been told of some members, such as the Elven or Fairy race helping humans in some way, but for the most part the price they ask for in return for this kindness is unusually high (possibly in both a worldly and spiritual sense). In fact, some people speak very highly of elves; but for the most part, the stories range from haughtiness or apathy towards humans to violence and cruelty dealt between themselves and humans that pass the centuries. Of paramount importance to remember of all Demi-Races, (no matter how they act to the contrary) is that they are soulless, and cannot be converted nor saved. There can be some that act good ones and there can even be kind and helpful, but on the other hand there are also ones that are even more evil than their relatives. Foremost it should not be forgotten that in the end they are all the same, half man/half demon, and there is, unfortunately, greater emphasis on the demonic part. Listed here is the stat block that is used to describe the Demi-Races with explanations and definitions. Additionally, if you choose to have a certain Demi-Race become a recurring foe, then there is room on each sheet to also detail things such as name, and special equipment, or locations.

Most prolific of the Demi-Races. Orc: Grey, militaristic. Most violent of the Demi-Races. Skith: Lizard like, cold blooded, sneaky. Most Deviant of the Demi-Races. Troll: Strong, mean brutes. Greatest varieties of offshoots of Demi-Races. Wyle: Animalistic, cunning. Most clannish of the Demi-Races.

Elves are believed to be the oldest of the Demi-Races, they say they can trace their heritage back to before the birth of Cain and Able. Over time their looks have changed, but not their nature, for they have always had a mean streak and are jealous that the inferior man is able to have a soul, able to commune with the Lord, and for the most part they feel very irked due to this fact. Common Stats: Elves tend to be about the same height as humans 5 being the norm, but they are more delicate than Humans, thinner in build with a slightly greenish tinge to their pale skin and they have pointed ears. Elves tend to speak a very musical language that is deceptively pleasing to hear, especially in song. Even to the most evil of Elves, beauty and appearance is of the upmost importance, therefore they will always be dressed in the finest clothing/equipment for the occasion. Vanity and Pride are the races two favorite features, and this is very frustrating to those who meet them as they are in truth very beautiful and very good at what they do.
