It was a Friday evening.

The streets were busy with people returning back home from their offices with plans for weekend. The traffic was moderate, not very congested and not very busy. I was in full uniform, patrolling the allotted areas. I was keen to leave for weekend without any major issues. There were two sergeants with me, Mr. Steve and Mr. larke. !s were nearing the "ast #armon !venue, $as %egas, I received a dispatch at &.'()M. The message asked to immediately rush to the entrance of the #awaiian market place, wherein a group of youngsters have stole a wagon from the actual owners at gun point. The dispatch informed that there is complete unrest in the market region and asked to bring the situation normal and to do all that is possible to stall the progress of the gangsters. *e immediately turned out vehicle to the alleys behind #arley +avidson af, and

managed to reach the market by &.-.)M. There prevailed a tensed situation. The couple, who lost their wagon, were seated at the front office, close to the main entrance. /ur sergeants spoke to them and gathered necessary information related to the identity of the gangsters. The couple narrated that having completed their shopping they came close to their vehicle, Toyota #ylander #ybrid. !s the man opened the door, he could feel a gun at his back head, asking him to abandon the vehicle. Turning around, he saw five youngsters, not above .0 heavily armed with knives, chains and guns, forcing them to abandon the vehicles. /ne of them seemed to have held a knife very close to the throat of his wife. !s the couple attempted to gather the attention of others, they were pushed to the ground and the youngsters sped away in the vehicle. /ur sergeants spotted knife marks in the forearm of the lady and the man, in his fifties, was injured as he was pushed to the ground. /n gathering the information, I immediately forwarded them to the control room, asking for any match in our criminal records. $as %egas has a lengthy record of gangster crimes. #ence, I was a bit confident that the officers at control room would give me a possible lead to identify the criminals. #owever, I didn1t wait long for their response. I immediately alerted the patrol officers stationed within the 200 miles in all the possible directions. Instructions were given to them to stop the vehicle and arrest the inmates wherever being spotted.

I received a dispatch from another patrol vehicle that the S3% just crossed South +ean Martin +rive and the officers did not have enough time to stop it. *e immediately began our chase and two other patrol vehicles to head in the same direction. The gangsters heavily drunk banged the vehicle against a street light post at the far end of the +ean Martin +rive. *e reached at the right time before they could become conscious to leave. The doors got jammed because of the collision and the vehicle made a heavy alarm inviting the attention of everyone around. *e broke open the door. *e could observe the driver was injured as his head has hit against the steering wheel and he was profusely bleeding. ! man in the back seat attempted to shoot us with the pistol he had in his pants. 4ut our sergeants reacted at the right time to throw him down to the ground and handcuff him. The other three were heavily drunk and were in a state of di55y and hence arresting them did not prove to be a tedious one. They were immediately booked for gang offense. !n ambulance was summoned and the man behind the steering wheel was immediately transported to the nearby hospital. 6one of us was injured during the incident. The pistols, knives and the other belongings of them were confiscated. 7eports revealed that they already have a history.
