Personality Portfolio Interview Questions Interviewer: Soyoon Kim Interviewee: Friend Gender: Male Age Group: Same 1. What was your first impression of me? Kind, sweetdefinitely a person I would hope to trust. I remember thinking that you were another kid who also came from a faraway landmaybe we could connectbut that was eight years ago, of course! 2. How would you describe my personality in three words? Bubbly, cheerful, exacting. 3. Am I more of an introvert or an extrovert? Why? Extrovert. While you may have a few qualities of an introvert that comes with a studious/diligent attitude, Ive always seen you as a person who thrives in a crowdor at least thats what you show. You have no trouble approaching others and youre always one to speak openly, proudly, and cheerfully even with those you dont know very well (yet). 4. Would you consider me as someone who is open to new experiences? Why? Yes! Youre always one of the first to jump into a new situation, and I suspect that you enjoy traveling a lot too. If I think in a classroom setting, youre neither afraid nor unwilling to participate in any activity, and you seem curious about everything around you and things you experience. 5. Would you describe me as agreeable or disagreeable? Why? Agreeable. If you mean agreeable from my perspective, as in pleasant, I think this comes from your attitude when approaching thingsyou make it really easy to connect with you and collaborate (for example when working on something for Yearbook). If you mean agreeable as in youre literally willing to agree, you certainly dont like to discourage, and prefer a constructive (agreeable) approach to problems. Either way, I wouldnt consider you disagreeable at all. 6. How would you rate my confidence level on a scale of 1 to 10 (with 1 being the least confident and 10 being the most confident)? Why? 8. I think being at a 10 would constitute arrogance or excessive pride in oneself. Youre confident in what you do and (from what it seems) the general direction you want to head in life, and youre not excessively prideful nor self-indulgent. And thats good! Youre confident in yourself as a person, such as when interacting with others, and youre confident in your abilities too, so that when youre given a task you know how to apply your skills. 7. Would you describe me as a careful or impulsive? Why? Careful. Honestly, I think youre in the middle, but leaning just a little more towards careful. You consider each possibility or problem that may arise and youre (I think) always willing to delay immediate happiness for the sake of the bigger picture. What balances that is how you never pause for too long to actyou can be quick to a decision when its needed and slow when it needs time.

8. What do you like most about me? Id say your curiosity to grow more than anything else. Whatever you may be driven by internally, you always exude a willingness to learn, adapt, enjoy the company of others, and more, all for the sake of self-development and progress. Ive barely ever seen you hesitant to try something new, and it can be amazing (and pretty cool) how quickly you can pick apart a problem (or design/draw something). Inspiring, really. 9. What do you dislike most about me? An undying urgency to growjust to contrast the answer to #8. Its hard for me to really pick something I dislike about youthere isnt anything large (or small!) that comes off the top of my head. Whether this is good or not, you are definitely one of the hardest workers Ive ever met. And while that leads to so much productive growth and such, I often wonder about the relaxation or rest that comes with that heavy workload. I sense it in myself often, and while this isnt a dislike per se, its a worry I suppose. Sorry if that makes it hard to convey a clear explanation of what I just said! 10.Would you describe me as more of a group-oriented or independently-minded individual? Why? Independently-minded. I think that at the end of the day, youre more comfortable with yourself than you are in a group. Youre excellent in groups and learn wonderfully from those around you, of course, but I think you draw more creativity, diligence, and strength from your own mind than from those around you. Your ideas stem mostly from your own individuality and intelligence rather than relying upon the thoughts of others.
