Legal Considerations Copyright - The Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 Copyright gives the author of certain types of material rights to control the use or exploitation of the work that they have created. This includes rights to allow or disprove of the copying, issuing of copies, renting or lending, performing, showing, playing, broadcasting or adaptation of the copyright material. I am going to avoid breaking the copyright law by using 100% my own work and material and cover up any brand logos. Discrimination - The Equality Act 2010 It is against the law to discriminate against anyone because of:

age being or becoming a transsexual person being married or in a civil partnership being pregnant or having a child disability race including colour, nationality, ethnic or national origin religion, belief or lack of religion/belief sex sexual orientation To avoid breaking this law I am not going to use anything that would offend anyone.

Obscenity - Obscene Publications Acts Since 1857 The Obscenity Law stopped the publishing of any material that could deprave or corrupt. In the UK, obscene material can be, for example, pornographic, violent, or can encourage drug taking. There is a defence in support of the public good if the defendant can produce expert evidence to show that publication was in the interest of, for example, art, science, or literature.

I am going to avoid breaking the obscenity law by not using any obscene content in my work by making the models wear suitable clothes, not do any rude gestures, any alcohol consumption, drug use and also make sure the background is free of anything that could be offensive. Defamation - Defamation Act 2013 The action of harming or damaging the reputation of someones character using either Libel (Written) or Slander (Spoken). I will avoid breaking this law by not using anything that could harm the anyones reputation.

Ethical Considerations As I will be taking photographs of teenagers I have to take in other peoples views on how to portray the teenager such as pose, dress and what meaning could be created due to that. I must give a positive attitude towards teenagers as they are my target audience and also I must not promote any stereotypes. And all of the models are under 18 so they will not do or wear anything sexually provocative.
