12XT SYSTEM

The system shall consist of a coaxial 2-way active enclosure (reconfigurable as a passive system via an

internal switch) driven and protected by a dedicated amplified controller. The high frequency transducer shall feature a 3-in diaphragm driver coaxially loaded onto a 12-in weather resistant low frequency transducer in a bass reflex tuned enclosure. Components shall be rated at a nominal impedance of 8 ohms in either active or passive mode. The usable system bandwidth shall be 55 Hz to 20 kHz (-10dB). The system shall generate a conical directivity (-6 dB points) of 90. The active enclosure long term RMS handling capacity shall be 290 W for the low section and 135 W for the high section at nominal 8-ohm impedance. The passive enclosure long term RMS handling capacity shall be 380 W at nominal 8-ohm impedance. Maximum peak SPL, measured at 1m under free field conditions using 10 dB crest factor pink noise, shall be 133 dB.

Enclosure cabinet construction shall consist of Baltic birch plywood. Dimensions shall be 540 mm (21.3

in) height, 410 mm (16.1 in) width and 389 mm (15.3 in) depth. Enclosure weight shall be 29 kg (63.9 lbs). The front of the enclosure shall be protected by a sandblast-coated steel grill covered with acousticallytransparent fabric. The enclosure shall have a wedge-shaped design with two fixed angle settings of 30 and 60 for stage monitoring application. The loudspeaker shall feature a 35 mm (1.38 in) diameter pole mount socket mounted on the bottom side, and a recessed plate on the top side, for rigging the enclosure in conjunction with an adjustable U-bracket assembly. Four threaded inserts shall be available on the rear side for attachment of an optional Omnimount bracket. Connection to the loudspeaker shall be made via two parallel 4-pin Speakon connectors.

The amplified controller shall incorporate 4-input x 4-output architecture and deliver an output
power of 4 x 1000 watts/ 4 ohms or 8 ohms at 1 % THD and an SMPS power supply with PFC and high efficiency class D amplification. It shall incorporate 255 preset memory locations, a user interface, an Ethernet connection for remote control and monitoring and a built-in connection panel for input signal and speaker output and the AES/EBU standard. The 32 bit floating point DSP shall operate at a sampling frequency of 96 kHz with cascaded 24 bit A/D converters. DSP shall feature dual IIR/FIR filter topologies, an adjustable delay from 0 to 1000 ms, a precalibrated EQ contour filter and real-time thermal and excursion sense drive protection. Total I/O system latency shall be set at 3.9 ms (3.4 ms with AES/EBU).

The amplified controller network protocol shall operate at a speed of 100 Mbits/s and allow remote control and monitoring of up to 253 units in star, daisy chain or hybrid topologies. The physical connection between computer and the amplified controller network shall be via CAT5e U/FTP (or more) cables connected to the RJ45 Fast Ethernet I/O sockets located on the rear panel. The control software shall allow control of gain, mute, delay, and system contour EQ and monitoring of component load, signal level and network fault.

The The The The

loudspeaker system shall be the L-ACOUSTICS 12XT. U-Bracket shall be the L-ACOUSTICS ETR12-2. amplified controller shall be the L-ACOUSTICS LA4X. control software shall be the L-ACOUSTICS LA NETWORK MANAGER.
