Spanish 11/26/13 A Spanish Christmas Scavenger Hunt Instructions: Google an average of 2 to 3 websites in order to answer the following questions.

Most questions can be answered in 5 sentences or less and should be answered on another separate sheet of paper. Researching for some questions may provide the answer for other questions. Purpose: 1. To become acquainted with shared or unique Christmas-time traditions of the various Spanish-speaking countries throughout the world. 2. To find a Spanish Christmas topic to research and report about. Christmas Project: Using the scavenger hunt as an introduction to the Christmas holidays celebrated in Spanishspeaking countries, find a topic that interests you and do your research over it. You could have your topic be as broad as describing how Christmas is celebrated in the Southern Cone (Paraguay, Uruguay,Chile, Argentina) or as narrow as focusing on the history and customs of las Posadas. Project Components: a research day, artistic component, 5-paragraph paper, and an informal group presentation.
