Dovilla Announces Legislator for a Day Reading Program Winners Initiative Continues to Grow, Encouraging Children to Learn About Ohio
COLUMBUSState Representative Dovilla (R-Berea) has announced the winners of his 4th annual Legislator for a Day reading program. Children in grades one through six participated in the program by receiving a bookmark from their school librarian or visiting the Berea, North Royalton, Olmsted Falls or Strongsville branches of the Cuyahoga County Public Library. After recording five books that they read on the back of the bookmark, the returned bookmark served as their entry to become a Legislator for a Day. Our educational Legislator for a Day program continued to see outstanding participation for the fourth year in a row, said Dovilla. This year, over 200 children participated, reading more than 1,600 books. I would like to acknowledge the encouragement of the students parents as well as the childrens librarians and teachers who promoted this meaningful program. The winners are: Berea Josephine Harrington Berea Public Library Diamond Wagner Grindstone Elementary School North Royalton Scott Sopata North Royalton Public Library Esha Tomar Albion Elementary School Chris Heger Royal View Elementary School Jey Yurichak Valley Vista Elementary School Olmsted Falls Colin Laska Olmsted Falls Public Library Edward Flanagan, IV Falls-Lenox Primary School
