John Fitzgerald Kennedy was born on the 29th May, 1917 in Brookline Massachusetts. His family lived at 83 Beals Street. Kennedy was born in an upstairs room of that house. He was the second child out of nine after his brother Joe. His seven other siblings were Robert, Edward, Rose, Kathleen, Eunice, Patricia and Jean. Everyone believed Joe would become President one day and had no prediction for Kennedy because he had medical conditions that made him so weak that everyone believed he was not going to survive for long.

John F Kennedy was born with back troubles which ailed him through his life. The problem with his back was that it was not as straight as backs should normally be. This stopped him from bending over and doing some sports. Kennedy had to have six injections a day to make sure there wasn't as much pain. Later in his life he had to wear a corset to keep his back straight and couldnt walk up or down stairs well. Later on in his life he was diagnosed with Addison's Disease at the age of 30. His Addisons Disease condition was a bit more serious having to need twelve medications a day to keep the hormones in his body producing. His appointments were with the White House doctor. He had his major operations in 1944,1954 and 1955. He also had part of his appendix removed. He had colitis as well but that was treated. In his teenage years he had a minor case of osteoporosis. The doctor described his bones brittle and fragile.

John F Kennedy attended private schools all of his life. The first was Dexter School, Brookline where he remained for only one year in 1927. If a free society Riverdale Country School, New York was the second school. He stayed cannot help the there until 1930. The next school he attended was Canterbury, New Milmany who are ford. He only stayed there for one year poor, it cannot before moving on to Choate High save the few School in Wallingford. Kennedy was who are rich. involved in a little rebel gang there; he John F. Kennedy exploded a toilet seat with a fire cracker. He attended Choate High School until he graduated in 1935. Kennedy was voted most likely to succeed at Choate. tending Harvard College, after his year at Princeton. He graduated from Harvard in 1940. Four years later, his older brother Joe died in a plane crash. Tragically, four years after that his sister Kathleen also died in a plane crash.

His mother and his father inspired Kennedy to do well in everything. Kennedy looked up to his father because his father believed that one Kennedy child should become president. His father pushed him to become the president. Kennedy liked the persistent and determined attitude that his father had. Rosa Parks and Martin Luther King Jr were also inspirations because they fought for equality.

John Fitzgerald Kennedy married Jacqueline Bouvier on September 12, 1953. The wedding was at Newport in Rhode Island. The mass was at St Marys Church. 750 guests were at the ceremony and 450 guests at the reception. Jacqueline wore a silk dress made by the designer Ann Lowe who was African-American. Their honeymoon was in Mexico. After the honeymoon they moved to Washington D.C., and two years later Jacqueline was expecting a child but had a miscarriage. The next year the couple was expecting a girl whom they named Arabella but unfortunately the baby was still born. 1957 was lucky for the couple: Jacqueline gave birth to a healthy girl named Caroline. Three years later John F Kennedy Jr was born, also healthy. In 1963 Jacqueline Kennedy gave birth to a son named Patrick but this child wasnt healthy. Patrick had a lung problem and unfortunately died two days later, leaving the family in more grief than they were from the two other unfortunate events.

John F Kennedy was elected in 1961,winning 303 votes to 219 votes against Richard Nixon. He fought for equality and a better country. John F Kennedy's short time as president was interesting, particularly the way he reacted to obstacles or challenges. When he was involved with the Bay of Pigs invasion, which was a disaster, the Cuban leader thought that John F Kennedy was weak and did not have enough experience to be president. That did not stop John F Kennedy, though; he thought the peace corps was a good idea and tested it out. The peace corps idea worked. Then he started the Civil Rights Act but a year after his death it was approved and there wasnt as much segregation or racism. John F Kennedy was also the first Catholic president.

In Dallas, Texas on November 22nd, 1963, the fatal three shots that shocked the world happened to one of the most inspirational men in the world. John F Kennedy was driving in his motorcade, without a clear shield on top. It was about 12:30pm when he was driving near Dealy Plaza on Elm Street when a sniper shot hit him in the head. Two more shots were fired, one accidentally hitting John Connally who was in front of John F Kennedy in the motorcade. Kennedys wife Jacqueline Kennedy crawled up onto the back side of the car; the secret agent Clint Hill climbed on to the car and pushed Jacqueline back into the car, telling her to stay there. The CIA blamed Lee Harvey Oswald for the shooting but many people believe that he was framed by someone. One person who was 10 feet away from John F Kennedy at the time of the fatal shot said, The third shot I believe came from behind the fence not from where Lee Harvey Oswald was. There have been many conspiracy theories since those fatal shots, some saying that the CIA was behind it and that Lee Harvey Oswald was framed, but the CIA and Government insisted that Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone. Some people have found evidence that four of the future presidents (Richard Nixon, Gerald Ford , George H W Bush and Lyndon B Johnson) had something to do with it.

There are many statues and buildings of John Fitzgerald Kennedy around America and some in Canada. There is a statue of him in Boston; another statue of him is in Fort Worth in Texas. There is also a life size statue in Puerto Rico. There is also a JFK Space Centre, JFK Performing Arts Centre, JFK School of Government, JFK International Air Port, JFK Historic Site which is the same house on Beals Street as Kennedy used to live in. There is also JFK Memorial Gardens in Victoria, Australia and a peace forest named after him in Jerusalem. This shows that people the world over found him admirable and have wanted to honour him since.

John F Kennedy did not care what the other side of government thought about Civil Rights but he knew that they deserved the same amount of education and work as white people did. He also did not want children that were black to miss out on the same life opportunities as white people did. John F Kennedy also was just a normal human: he did not walk away or not speak when people came to talk to, he interacted, not letting his fame get to his head.
