Seven years ago this Spring we started out on an incredible journey, being led of God to the country
of Mexico. This journey started out on deputation in many of your churches. As we told you then, our
goals were:
To plant churches in Chiapas, Mexico.
To train national leaders.
To see a church established with a national board.
To see a national pastor in charge of that church.
To see the church auto-sustained without receiving support from the United States.
When we embarked on this journey, little did we know where all God would lead us. We had the
privilege of spending considerable time in language school in Guanajuato, Mexico and helping with
the ministry at Salamanca, Mexico with Philip and Collette Burch. Then we were led to continue our
language studies in Texas at the Rio Grande Bible lnstitute. While there in Texas, we had the
privilege of pastoring the Donna, God's Missionary Church and running an outreach ministry in the
Flea Market of Alamo, Texas. From there we moved to Tapachula, Chiapas, Mexico where we began
to plant churches and train leaders.
ln the last five years here in Tapachula, we have had the privilege of seeing a multitude of people find
Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. God has helped us to see a church planted in the city of
Tapachula, another church in the town of Santo Domingo, a mission church in Fraccin Salvador
Urbina Retiro, and the possibility of a church in the town of Cacahoatn joining our Mexican H.l.M.
churches. We have also had the privilege to preach in many other places such as, Faja de Oro,
Talcin, Crdoba, Desenlase, Nueva Esperanza, and Xochitl Tepec where many, many souls have
sought God.
Another privilege we have had is to train and mentor numbers of nationals that God has called and is
using in the ministry: Antonio Roblero, Humberto Roblero, Guadelupe Prez, Benjamin de la Cruz,
and Arturo Ramrez.

ln the next several weeks we will be taking in 25 official members of the church in Tapachula and we
will be holding the first church elections to vote in an official church board. We will also be installing a
national pastor. Our "Combi (van project) is up and running and making money to allow the church
to go forward without support from the outside. These are all exciting things that have led us to the
question, what is next for us as a family?
lt was last fall in one of our services while one of our nationals was preaching, that the Holy Spirit
began to speak to our hearts and tell us that it was time for us to return to the United States. Over
the last several months we have spent considerable amount of time in prayer, making sure that this
was the right thing to do.
There are many factors that the Holy Spirit has used to make this decision clear. He has confirmed to
us that our "Mission that we set out to do here in Mexico has been accomplished and that we should
return to the United States. We are still unsure as to where He will lead us next, but we are confident
that He will continue to guide us.
As for our churches here in Chiapas, we are confident of this very thing, that He which began a good
work in them will continue His work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.
We want to say a great big thank you to everyone who has supported us with your prayers, letters,
cards, gifts, money, and kind words. lt has been an honor to have you as a part of our team.
We wish to ask those of you who have supported us with your finances to continue to support us
through the month of August as we go through this time of transition. ln the next several months, it is
our desire to visit your churches and see you personally and thank you for your support and show you
what your support has accomplished.
May God richly bless you as you continue to support His Kingdom!
