REFLECTION Last week, I had done my dramatization session for Plays and Dramas for Young Learners, LGA

3104. Firstly, I would like to thanks my lecturer, Mr Mohd Zaki Bin Mohd Amin and also to my classmates for their supports and guidance. My play is entitle Wishes. This story is very suitable for the young learner as the story is about a boy name Gordon who does not want to keep himself clean. He is untidy, messy and lazy, but one day he met a goblin who grants wishes. Gordan wishes he does not need to do anymore chores, brush his teeth and keep himself clean anymore. With magic and chants, the goblin cast a spell on Gordon, he become bald. The story goes on and Gordon finally regret of his wishes and they live happily ever after. Wishes, we select this as it is very suitable among the young learners, specifically students in Year 3 and Year 4. The story is easy to understand and the vocabulary are easy and high frequency words. The words are usually resolve in their daily routine such as wake up every morning, tidy up the bed, and eat breakfast. Basically this is to get the students comprehend what the story is all about. Drama play is the work of students, and through play students benefit intellectually, physically, socially, and emotionally. The benefits of play for students intellectual growth are numerous. As students play out the situations in their lives, they met with situations they do not understand. As they approach the situations and attempt to make sense of them in the context of their own lives, they practice problem-solving skills and build new knowledge. Adaptation is adapting of a literary source to another genre or medium, such as a film or a stage play. In the first place, the story is quite long for me because the story start with Gordon does not want to brush his hair, run from the house and many more other events before he met the goblins. So we make it shorter and simpler so that students will understand the story line clearly. Purposes of the play adaptation is to give students an opportunity to practice communicating in different social contexts and in different social roles to practice and use English in a more meaningful way. Practical language helps in improving communication skills, creativity, increased social

awareness, independent thinking, verbalization of opinions, development of values and appreciation of the art of drama develops fluency in language students, which promotes interaction in the classroom, and which increases motivation play is really a worthwhile learning experience for both the students and the teacher. The importance of telling a tight story with a limited number of characters, short stories often make better sources for adaptable material for the play. For the stage much the same applies except that theatre audiences tend to accept and prefer works of a more conceptual, thought-based nature meaning their preferences need to be considered when selecting a work for adaptation, but also when determining how best to adapt it. The stage imposes physical limits of size and technology. The staging of the play was splendid. We have enough space and room to put our props all over the stages. Although we did waste some time on the props because it was massive to paste and draw the background but it was worth it. At least we had fun playing the stage, and had fun and enjoying oneself is the most importance thing during a play. Staging a play for second language learners can provide an opportunity for the students to develop their imagination. The students can go beyond here and now and even put themselves in other shoes. Students are encouraged to express their own ideas and contribute to the whole. Creative drama will offer exercises in

critical thinking and the chance for the students to be creative. Our group did our best to manage the stage, such as setting the background to face the audience and perform in front of the as possible. I can see Gordon, played by Adam express his feeling to fullest develop the imagination should not be undervalued. For example when he met the goblin to grant him never to wash his hair again. After that, the three flowers appear while imitating and talk funny to Gordan. That is how it provides opportunities for students to express themselves. Students will acquire how to perceive the arts can upsurge the understanding or can give them different expression for their ideas. As they express their initial point of view, feelings, and ideas about music, evaluate the musical choices that are made, and explore the context in

which music was created, they will shape the knowledge and language they need to communicate about music.

In my opinion, a great way to develop aesthetic and moral values in the play is by setting an outdoor play environment for imaginative or dramatic play which provides enough space and props to foster students imagination. The area which is most liked by the students in the outdoor area is the shady and open field which promotes dramatic play both for individual students and for students participating in cooperative play. This area is well equipped with nature, flora and fauna that the students see in their everyday life such as animals, flowers, trees, cloud, sun, birds, building, vehicles, and so much more. Imaginative or dramatic play is encourages the students to play cooperatively, negotiate turns, exchange ideas, and work together to solve problems. Aesthetic creations thereof are always closely connected with imaginary world. Activities that involve students in both making and enjoying art are essential if programs are to meet the needs of the whole students. The challenge for early childhood teachers is to provide these activities in an art program that is developmentally appropriate and that can be integrated throughout the curriculum. As to style, imaginary students literature mainly includes fairy tales, allegories, science fictions, and animal novels. To integrate an art program into a developmentally appropriate curriculum, adults must recognize that students express their ideas through art. The artistic characters in the aforesaid works that are more liable to enable young readers to make endless imagination and reading pleasure are animals and plants, especially animals. Such a program should include: Stories have the power to promote emotional and moral development. Moral values involve the principles of knowing right from wrong, while respect for the rights of others is self-explanatory. Students literature contains numerous moments of crisis, when characters make moral decisions and contemplate the reasons for their decisions, an important skill for students to see.

In a nutshell, this practice is very vital role play part in my study to in order to improvise my proficiency in this profession. I realise there is many mistakes in my teaching and a lot more to improve. This practice gives me a chance to change myself for the better in the future. As a matter of fact, I as a future teacher can hold the knowledge of all these classroom lesson plans and ways to handle my class in the future. I also can develop the cognitive development such as to be independent, to know what is right and what is wrong and many more. Likewise, the task helps me to understand the teaching and learning process and how it be applied in classroom.
