Than P.O started to yell !E.B you took my horses." !no I didn#t$" E.B replied. %e reached towards E.B to get the horses. I stated Wait. !Prosper remember earlier you counted E.B#s horses& P.O nodded his head up and down. 'et#s count E.B#s horses now and he counted ( ) * E.B has three horses. +ow lets count yours ( ) * I have three horses. P.O bent his head down and smirked !sorry E.B I have my horses." !It#s o.k" said E.B and they started playing again with the horses in the shaving cream.

(Clearly identify the guidance strategy and state +hy the chosen strategy is appropriate for this child and the situation%

The guidance strategy that I chose to use here was conflict resolution. This was a good decision for the children and the situation because it was not a very bad situation but this was in need of some resolution. The children were able to solve the problem themselves once they remembered that they ,ust had to talk it out. This strategy is appropriate because the children should not get punished for this and it is not the teacher#s problem it#s the children#s problem they own it so they solve it and it works out well. The teacher is ,ust there to guide them. Part * ,ctions
(Clearly discuss your actions (+hat you did and said%the child.s response and the results of the guidance strategy%

The actions that I took to were I reminded the children that they had counted the horses out earlier. Once I had reminded them of that they were able to solve the problem themselves. I had said !remember that you guys counted the horses before you started playing&" P.O nodded his head up and down and said !Oh yeah" and they started to count ( ) * and once they counted both their horses they seen that they had all the horses they were supposed to have

Part / Reflection
(Clearly discuss your strengths and needs and the changes that you +ould ma0e if needed% 1trengths 2eeds

-ome strengths that I had throughout this guidance practice was that I was able to remind the children that they had an up in the situation and that it could be solved with no worries. It was easy to help solve this problem because the children were very easy adaptable and they were easy on me throughout this situation I had a great time guiding this guidance issue and there was a teacher in the room so she seen me do it she was so ama.ed she started to clap her hands and was very proud to see that I was implementing my techni/ues. In turn made me feel really good about myself.

-ome needs that I have are I would like to stand back completely and watch the children and see if they can solve their own issues. I sometimes am in so much of a hurry that I don0t even get a chance to watch the children#s minds at work. I will slowly get out if this or maybe will change my way of thinking completely to learn that but it will come. In this situation specifically what I need to change is my firm voice I am still really soft voiced because I don#t want to scare the children. 1nowing that you will have to gain that firm voice for the children to believe what I am saying. I need to change some of my ways because that can be a great benefit to the children and I.

&iscuss the changes that you +ould ma0e and +hy you +ould ma0e them

-ome changes that I would make are I would change the way that I got involved immediately because the children might have been able to solve the problem on their own without my help. I should have waited and +e2t time I will wait and see what the children will do before ,umping in. 1upervising !C! 1ignature
