Description KidZania is an indoor family edutainment centre which offers an interactive learning and entertainment experience for kids in a kid-sized city that delivers the first-of-its-kind edutainment fun. Background KidZania was founded in Mexico City by a young entrepreneur, Xavier Lpez Ancona, who dreamed of creating a place where kids could have fun while enjoying real-life experiences. Concept More than a kids museum and more than a family entertainment center, KidZania is a true kid-sized city where kids can pick from over 100 role-playing activities from over 60 establishments, earn money (kidZos), pay for goods and services, manage an ATM card all the things they see adults do in real life. KidZania creates a kid-centric city experience targeted at kids aged 4 to 14 years where they are empowered to take charge and make their own decisions. The KidZania experience is about real-life experiences, empowering, inspiring and educating kids through role-play. The city is designed to remind kids that life is about options and to reach as high as possible. They feel good, are entertained while they learn and want to come back again and again. Role-playing is a timeless and universal childhood activity. KidZania empowers and inspires kids to pursue their lifes dreams by exploring what its like to experience careers in a real city built just for them. KidZania believes in promoting change, inspiring global citizenship and building strong community awareness among our kids through an experience that is hands-on, engaging, educational and most importantly, fun. At KidZania, kids are the judges, TV crews and magicians in any one of the 100 authentic role-playing activities. Kids learn through experience about different professions, how a city works, financial literacy, living in a community and how to work both independently and as a team. Among some of the interesting activities that kids can do during their visit to KidZania are: piloting an airplane, putting out fires, being a paramedic or surgeon, hosting and supporting the production of a television program, interior designing or enjoying the fun and exclusive experience of attending classes at university. By completing the prescribed tasks, kids earn kidZos which can be saved in the bank, or spent purchasing other goods and services. At KidZania, real-world brands bring authenticity to the experience. By blending reality with entertainment, KidZania provides an authentic and powerful developmental experience, preparing kids to understand and manage their world.
