Would you like to have a webpage for your classroom? Today, I am going to show and explain the basics of how to create a webpage for the art classroom. We will be using a web page design site called Weebly. We will get started by creating an account with Weebly. Once you have reached the website for Weebly, you will enter a username, password and an email address. Click sign up. After completing this initial setup of your account, you will use the log in section at the top, right corner of the main page. Next, you will create your site. Click the Create a Site button. Choose your site type as Site.

1. Go to www.weebly.com 1.1. Enter a username 1.2. Enter a password 1.3. Enter an email address 1.4. Click Sign Up 1.5 Once your account has been created, use the login section in the top right corner of the main page.

Now you will need to choose a theme for your webpage. Scroll down until you find a theme you like. To choose a theme, you will hover your mouse over the site and click, choose. This choice may be changed at any time. You will need to choose a website domain. For this purpose you will choose a subdomain of Weebly.com. Enter a name for your site. For example, I chose ChasityHowardArtAppreciation. If this name is taken, try a different combination.

Scene: 7 Framing: Focused on screen Duration: 2 min Audio: Voice Now we can start building your site. Highlight the My Site text at the top of the page and add your name. For example, I will put Chasity Howards Design 1 class. Remember, you can create this webpage for a course you teach or for a specific class. Next, click Click to Add Headline. Type any message. For example, Welcome to My Class! A text toolbar will appear and you may edit as you wish. Click Add Description. Here you can tell a little bit about your course.

To set up pages for your webpage, click the Pages tab at the top of the window. There are some pages already set up. The About page is where you can post your syllabus. The contact page can be used for students and parents to find your email and phone numbers. To add a page click Add Page. Choose Standard Page. Name your page. Choose your layout. Click Save. You will repeat this process for any pages you would like to add. Now we are completing the final steps. Click the orange publish button in the top right of the page. Anytime you add content or make changes make sure to republish your site. *No narration

7. Publish Website 7.1. Click on the orange publish button in the top right hand corner of the window 7.2. Changes can be made at any time and then re-publish the site
