Sports
Director
(TV/Video)
The
Sports
Director
is
responsible
for
overseeing
all
sports
studio
and
remote
productions.
Responsibilities
include:
Developing
sports
programming
ideas
with
other
campus
organizations
(Radio,
The
Call,
etc.)
including
but
not
limited
to
documentaries,
talk
shows,
etc.
Contributing
input
to
programming
pitch
sessions
of
sports
oriented
type
programs
in
collaboration
with
Acquisitions
Director.
Having
final
approval
of
on
air
talent
(sports
anchors,
play-by-play
and
color
commentators).
Overseeing
Sports
Producers
(Remote
Sports
Producer
and
Assistant
Producers).
Overseeing
in-studio
sports
programming
producers.
Responsible
for
overall
quality
of
all
sports
productions.
Fostering
and
Maintaining
relationship
with
Athletic
Department
for
all
types
of
production.
Minimum
Requirements:
Two
years
experience
as
a
Sports
Producer/Director.
One
year
experience
as
an
anchor,
writer
and
reporter.
One
year
TV
studio
production
experience.
Familiar
with
all
of
the
positions
and
terminology
of
a
TV
news
production.
Excellent
news
writing
skills.
Excellent
leadership
skills.
Remote
Sports
Producer
The
Remote
Sports
Producer
is
responsible
for
producing
remote
sporting
events
productions
as
assigned.
Responsibilities:
Scheduling
crew
and
equipment
for
remote
sporting
event.
Scheduling
on-air
talent.
Assisting
Sports
Director
in
selection
of
on-air
talent.
Overseeing
remote
sports
production
from
transport
of
gear
to
and
from
facilities
to
setup
and
strike
on
location
in
collaboration
with
Technical
Coordinator.
Maintaining
creative
quality
control
of
remote
sports
productions.
Testing
and
preparing
all
remote
equipment
prior
to
all
remote
shoots
(including
but
not
limited
to
sporting
events,
promotions
productions,
remote
show
productions,
etc.).
Maintaining
an
equipment
list
for
all
remote
productions.
Developing
a
maintenance
schedule
for
testing
all
studio
and
control
room
equipment.
Present
at
all
Studio
and
Remote
productions
(if
for
some
reason
unable
to
attend,
ensure
that
all
gear
is
in
working
order
and
schedule
Assistant
to
be
in
his/her
stead).
Coordinating
with
remote
producers
transport
and
setup
of
equipment
to
and
from
location.
Minimum
Requirements:
One
year
as
an
Assistant
Technical
Coordinator.
Familiar
with
all
of
the
positions
and
terminology
of
a
Film/TV/Video
production.
Operational
knowledge
of
all
Film/TV/Video
equipment
including
remote
and
studio
switching
equipment,
lighting,
camera,
and
audio
equipment.
Good
knowledge
of
A/V
signal
processing.
Good
working
knowledge
of
computing
for
audio/video
production.
Good
oral
communication
skills.
Excellent
creative,
problem-solving
skills.
Able
to
work
under
pressure
and
time
constraints.
Technical
Coordinator
(Radio)
The
Technical
Coordinator
is
responsible
for
all
technical
aspects
of
studio
and
remote
productions.
Responsibilities:
Maintaining
all
studio
and
remote
equipment
under
the
supervision
of
Staff
Engineer.
Testing
and
preparing
all
remote
equipment
prior
to
all
remote
shoots
(including
but
not
limited
to
sporting
events,
promotions
productions,
remote
show
productions,
etc.).
Maintaining
an
equipment
list
for
all
remote
productions.
Developing
a
maintenance
schedule
for
testing
all
studio
and
control
room
equipment.
Present
at
all
Remote
productions
(if
for
some
reason
unable
to
attend,
ensure
that
all
gear
is
in
working
order
and
schedule
Assistant
to
be
in
his/her
stead).
Coordinating
with
remote
producers
transport
and
setup
of
equipment
to
and
from
location.
Minimum
