Web Based crime reporting

1.1SYNOPSIS
Web Based crime report project is useful for police department for handling information of criminals and allowing information to public. Using this application can help police stations to organize data more efficiently and deal with cases in less time. Citizens can register with this application to register case through online process which saves time and improve quality of service and gain faith on police department. In existing system manual method is used where people should find local police station and file complaint and should regularly visit station to know status of there case. Detailed explanation about this pro ect implementation is provided in pro ect report. !he ob ective of the pro ect is to develop a site in which any citizen can report crimes. If anybody wants to complaint against crimes he must do it through the police. !he Crime "anagement and #eporting $ystem make the crime reporting easier. !his pro ect will be useful for the %olice Department. !he home page is the login page .&nly the 'dministrator and the $tation in(charge of different %olice $tations will be able to login to their home pages. !he citizen could only report crimes and knows whether the crime reported by him has been accepted. It specifically looks into the Crime detection and prevention. Conviction of criminals depends on a highly responsive backbone of Information "anagement. !he efficiency of the police and the effectiveness with which it tackles crime depend on what quality of information it can derive from its existing records and how fast it can have access to it.

#od$%e !escription Station #od$%e In the station module* each of the station must first register with the $oftware. +or the registration part each station enter their details like station name* address* phone no* station in charge etc. and get a User Id and password from the $oftware. &nce the station registers with the software they can avail the existing records. Crime #od$%e Crime module is used for entering all details about the crime. It contains the date and time* police station where it is recorded* place* nature of Crime, -ocation of the Crime etc.'ll details about the criminals will be also included in this module.

Searc' #od$%e In this module we can search the crime in station wise* nature of crime. $earching of criminals is also possible in this module. (dministrator #od$%e !he administrator0s module will be protected by user id and password. &rdinary users of the software will not be permitted to enter into this area of the software. !he module will be focusing on the "aster Data "aintenance* #emoval of old and outdated data from the software etc.
