Junior Kindergarten News

April 2014

In April we are looking forward to watching Gods world continue to spring back to life. Its great to know that our God provides for us in many ways, one of them in the gift of seasons that change. In Bible this month we will begin to learn about the events that led up to our Lords amazing resurrection on Easter morning and Gods priceless gift to us of His son, Jesus. We will continue with our Bible memory work of John 3:16 for the month of April. It is a longer verse that warrants the extra practice. In March we learned how to sing it, in April we will recites the words of this wonderful promise. The children are doing very well learning their alphabet letter sounds. Please keep reinforcing them with your child. This extra practice really helps! The Home Reading Program is going well. Please remember to return your childs book on their reading day so that they can read it to me and have a new book sent home. JK students along with the rest of the school will be gathering up used books for re-sale at our annual Garage Book Sale. Watch the Weekly News for more details. Students can bring money in on Wednesday, April 9 to purchase books. For our school auction in April, JK/SK will be creating a coffee themed basket to raffle. Please send in items for our basket or send a donation to go towards it. A field trip is planned for Wednesday, April 30 to the London Humane Society. There we will be learning about different animals and the procedures of the animal center. Thank you for your prayers for our class and for allowing us to be involved in the lives of your children.

Have a blessed Easter, Mrs. Graham
