Message from the President and CEO In 2007 Pelican delivered on our promise to introduce more products, open new markets, increase our manufacturing capacity and expand our sales branches. In the last year weve grown our Sales and Marketing teams around the world, installed one of the largest injection molding presses on the west coast and began manufacturing in Europe to increase worldwide capacity, reduce shipping costs and shorten the supply chain for our European customers. We also introduced new technologies such as the 7060 tactical light and robot-assisted manufacturing, a rst in the Protector Case industry. These breakthroughs are the direct result of a new emphasis in research and development to innovate and add value to our products. In a rare collaboration between public and private sectors, the City of Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) has partnered with Pelican Products to develop the Pelican 7060 LED as the standard issue tactical/patrol ashlight for all its ofcers. The Pelican 7060 LED light employs new dual switch technology that allows the light to be activated by either a body-mounted patrol switch or a tail-mounted tactical switch. The dual switches, which include a momentary mode, allows the user to grip the light in several positions and still control activation. The light incorporates rechargeable Lithium-Ion batteries for maximum brightness and are also light weight compared to standard batteries.

The 9450 Remote Area Lighting System (RALS) combines our tough 1510 Case with 16 x 1 watt LEDs mounted in an aluminum heat sink. All items are stored inside the case and assemble in minutes. The aluminum pole extends to a height of 83" to provide 1280 lumens of light for any area. The rechargeable battery has 9 hours of life at maximum output tailing off to low light level at hour 17. The diffuser (included) can be mounted to change the beam from a focused spot to a diffused beam.

STRONGER BY DESIGN Pelican Protector Cases are made with Copolymer Polypropylene, using an open cell core and solid wall construction, which is actually stronger and lighter than the solid core wall that our competitors produce. Travel light with heavy protection. And you know its a Pelican Case by the distinctive twin-ribbed top surface. Stainless steel pins are used for hinges and handles. The DoubleThrow latches are smarter and easier to open: its the classic C clamp design with a secondary movement that works like a pry bar to start the release and offers plenty of leverage to open with a light pull. WATERTIGHT The secret is the tongue-and-groove t with a Polymer o-ring acting as a waterproof seal. Also, the new Automatic Pressure Equalization Valve releases built-up air pressure while keeping water molecules out, resulting in a watertight case that is even easier to open. CUSTOM LOGOS Your logo can be applied in multiple colors as a decal or hot stamp, using strict PMS print controls on any Pelican Case. PANEL FRAME MOUNTING SYSTEM Pelican offers an easy solution for installing interface panels to any Pelican Protector Case. Our mounting bracket installs beneath your panel and ts against stops molded inside the case walls. With pre-drilled holes and stainless steel screws, fabricating a custom case is faster, stronger, and more accurate.
EASY ROLLER Stainless steel ball bearing wheels (on select cases) last longer and ride smoother. The nylon hub adjacent to the stainless steel is made to resist heat. Result: less wear and tear on the polyurethane wheel.

The Pelican Story

Pelican Products came into existence as a direct result of founder Dave Parkers desire to develop unique and practical products for the dive market. An avid diver since age 11 (after reading a June, 1954 issue of Popular Science magazine, which outlined how to build a crude S.C.U.B.A. device using a garden hose, a paint compressor, a power lawn mower engine and an enema bag), Dave has dived some of the most exotic spots in the world. Through his experience he discovered that certain things he needed to make a dive complete were simply not available. It dawned on him that if I need something like this, Ill bet all the other divers do, too! It was from his old dirt oor garage that Pelican Products was born, in the great American tradition on a shoe string budget. The Pelican Float was its rst product and patent. After a days work at his advertising and industrial design business, Dave and his wife and co-founder, Arline, a ight attendant for TWA, would spend evenings in their garage building oats. Dave handled the assembly side of the business. Arline boxed, billed and mailed everything out between her regularly scheduled ights. Daves homemade oat was sold through mail order ads placed in magazines. It was soon apparent that Pelican Products was not going to stay a garage operation for very long. From the birth of the Float, Pelican has developed into a multi-product, multi-industry company with a complete line of submersible and waterproof safety approved ashlights and equipment Protector cases. From a backyard part time mail order operation, Pelican has become a thriving ISO 9001:2000 certied, self-contained, fully operational molding, manufacturing and design corporation with over 500 employees worldwide. In addition to the Torrance main ofce and manufacturing facility, we have ofces in Spain, Australia, Japan, China and Canada and starting this year, Pelican has manufacturing facilities in Europe. It is true that Pelican and its product lines have grown a great deal over the past several years. If for any reason you are not satised with the quality or performance of any PELICAN product, we will gladly replace or refund your money (at your option) within 30 days of purchase through the original retailer/dealer. PELICAN PRODUCTS will continue to guarantee the product directly for a lifetime against breakage or defects in workmanship. Lifetime guarantee does not cover the lamp or batteries. The o-rings must be kept greased (and replaced if damaged) per product instructions. This guarantee is void only if the PELICAN product has been abused beyond normal and sensible wear and tear. The above guarantee does not cover sharkbite, bear attack or children under 5.
