Dear Madam/Sir of Dongguk University My Name is Ni Made Keshia Wulandari. People usually call me Keshia. I come from Bali, Indonesia. I graduated in 2011 from Padjadjaran University, Indonesia majoring in German Literature. I'm the only child in my family. I have born in a liberal family, which have no strict about religion. My family and I are Hinduism and we are still respect each other's religions. As you may know that Indonesia believes in five religions. My dad work as an employee in Jakarta, Indonesia and my mother is a housewife. I had grown up as an open minded and independent person even i'm the only child in my family. I am a family person who care enough about my family and my family always support my activities. I dare to go to Boarding School as my senior high school based on semi-military school. I leave both my parent for three years and experienced anything during senior high school. For my master, I want majoring in Education especially in Child and Family in Dongguk University. My biggest failure in my life is when I can't make my parents and other people proud and when I can't achieve my dreams. It hurts so much when I know that I did the best but it still wasn't good enough. Future begins with dreams. Dreams that we dare to dream made from heart and I believe it will become true if we have will to realize it. If I failed in something, time passed by and I just live in the present, make a good thing so it will be worth remembering. I graduated from one of state university in my country majoring in German Literature with GPA 3.34 out of 4.00, which educate me both languageand necessary theoritical knowledge in teaching children which fascinated me by their original and unique teaching methodology. Out of my interest and love in children, i choose to volunteering in Ukraine. There, i taught orphanage children based on 4-12 years old English. Since their parents passed away in uncommon way, the children also have uncommon behaviour. From this experience i learned a lot of things including how to develop myself by developing each other. In addition, i endeavor to gain insight into every children's learning psychology and how to communicate with uncommon attitude's children. Beside that, distinguished my undergraduate performance, i volunteered in one of poor school in the side of city. The children is living under the bridge and since they have to work in traffic light in the morning, i taught them in the afternoon. Out of my teaching experience, i have developed a heartfelt love for this profession. Since i really like to gain another more international experience, i participated in Harvard Project for Asian and International Relation Conference run by Harvard student in COEX, Seoul in 2011 back then. I also participated in International Art Group when i was in high school and promoted Indonesian Culture in Europe. Now, i take Korean Language Class in Sungkyunkwan University and reach level 4 so far. Experiencing anything through

Korean cultures, language and people have been a honor to me. I am particularly attracted by the Dongguk University's powerful pedagogical resource and a comprehensive curriculum. Through 7 years old eyes i watched in terror as my mother grimaced in pain by giving birth my little sister, eventhough in the end the doctor could not save my sister. I held my mother's hand, wiped her forehead with a cool wet towel, and longed for the pain to subside. And it happens for 5 times in my life. Since that failure to have a sister and brother, i really want to hold a little hand of a children and giving pure love to them. That is one of the reason why i passionly do a volunteer work based on children and majoring in Child and Family Science in Dongguk University. I came to realize that education should be dominated by advanced concepts and effective teaching strategies. This encourage me to pursuing my master degree in Dongguk University majoring in Child and Family. Ultimately, the passion of mine far exceed the small hesitations, and as i further evaluate this field, I believe my characteristics and skills not only can bring a change in child and family's life and culture but also will develop my self more than i expected.

Form 3 Academic Plan & Research Plan 1. Academic Plan We should believe that every child appreciate his families and feel they are very special and irreplaceable. The family has a big relationship with the uniqueness of the children as we all agree that the good family should provide the children with a good education and a unique identity. Moreover the children should have the senses of belonging to the family where they arise. The healthy families ideally should be a source of comfortable feeling, warmth, protection and security for the children. The importance of the relationship between the family and children is giving the sense to the children for being respected with a vital network of historical linkages and social support. Within every healthy family there is a sense of reciprocitya giving and taking of love and empathy by every family member. Normally the families consist of more than groups of individuals. They are built and developed with their own vision, goals and aspirations. Furthermore the family should be a place for the child and adult to feel that he or she is not only special but also to catch his or her own dreams; a place where everyone's individuality is permitted to flourish. Sometimes while pursuing the vision some conflicts may happen inside of

the family. For facing that kind of problems, all the family members should feel as though they can express themselves openly, share their feelings, and have their opinions listened to with understanding. In fact, conflicts and disagreements are a normal part of family life and are important insofar as they permit people to communicate their differences and ventilate their feelings. While living in the real life with the other communities, the family has an important role for instructing the children and giving guidance about personal values and social behavior. The personal values of both children and adult will differentiate one individual with the others in a real social life. The roles of family are teaching about discipline and help them learn and internalize codes of conduct that will serve them for the rest of their lives. It helps them develop positive interpersonal relationships, and it provides an environment that encourages learning both in the home and at school. It gives children a sense of history and a secure base from which to grow and develop. Yet, as important as these functions are, they do not happen automatically. The parents both father and mother know it takes hard work to keep the family going as an effective, adaptive, and functional unit typically for the children. I graduated from Padjadjaran University majoring in German Literature and my final thesis is about the role of father in a family which include the fact about non-ideal family and contemporary social problem that affecting children. The purpose of my final thesis is to try to investigate the non-healthy personal relationship, parents and child relationship because of lack communication within the family and the head family which is father. I found this topic challenge my point of view of a family. While I was doing my final thesis I was supervised by Ms. Jutta Kunze which come from German. She is a German Academic Exchange Service in Indonesia and finish her Master Of Arts. She also went to Namibia and Africa to volunteering. As I share a lot of things, I inspired by her to pursuing my master degree. As the sample of my study case for my thesis I took some stories based on real life which is written in german language. To support my final thesis, I used some of family psychology methode. Choosing the proper methode may be difficult. And in fact I found some difficulties to combine the basic literature methode and family psychology methode for my final thesis. The result of my thesis indicate that there is a relation between communication of family into children. This non-healthy family relationship attract me to pursuing my major in Child and Family Science in Dongguk University. My previous academic background taught me about the visual communication and I am planning to spread my education in family culture and healthy family relation that affect the children's behaviour.

My goal is to understand the role of family through education, effective communication and useful advice from parents and its affect to children. Because family is an important unit which builds up a children's personality and behaviour. Family specially mother and father is the most closest people with children and from parents, children learns the most and gives the child basic strength as person in the future. The home environment is also important to build a good behaviour of children.

2. Research Plan Research Title: The Role of Family through education and effective communication towards childs education under 10 years. Objectives: This study has the main objective for learning and understanding the effective way for the improvement family education system towards children development and behaviour through learning tools and communication system under children 10 years old. Literature Review and Planning Educate the children in the family affects how a child grow in the future. Embedded quality since childhood would constitute the way of thinking decades in the future. How parents support each other, will also be recorded in the childhood memories. A healthy parent relationship will affect the personality of the child. Harmonious family with an atmosphere that is conducive to growth and development is necessary to remember the family is an example for the child's behavior. Research shows harmony which necessary for the development of children's potential, especially on personality. While the atmosphere of conflict and tension will have negative impacts which will affect the behavior of children. In the world of education, there are three kinds of parenting: Parenting permissive,

authoritarian and authoritative. Permissive parenting is a system that puts the freedom to children, regardless of the attitudes and behavior as well as responsible for his actions. Authoritarian parenting is a system that is imposing the will of the parents, hard and stiff that must be obeyed by children. While Authoritative parenting is a system that gives the child the freedom to be creative and explore different things according to the child's ability to censorship restrictions and oversight of the parents. Undeniably three parenting system is still running. The task of the family is looking for a system of proper parenting to the child's condition. Some innovations in parenting is to present a model - a model for effective learning to use devices such as parenting music / arts, giving direct examples practiced by families and show condition directly involving children. Communication conducted in an open and fun with certain restrictions so that children get used to opened on the parents when there are things to be conveyed or thing on his mind. Expected Impact : From this research the aim is to know the ideal family communication and home environment that can affect children behaviour nowadays and in the future. Methodology of Research: I will take sample from the Kindergarden based on 5-10 years old - a child with attention to the area distribution between rural, urban and urban areas. Reason for choosing the University

I personally believe that Dongguk University have a certain quality and honorable experienced lecturers and professors that can give me a better education majoring in Child and Family science. What am I gonna do is to learn the ideal family and home environment by educate the family first. Because the families have the right to raise children in a safe and nurturing environment. And family also an important unit which build up a child's personality and behaviour in the future. The more promising way to think about children is our next future who really need a proper education to carry on the world on their shoulders. There are also different type of children that we must understand properly. Children who lived in inland villages and children whose parents are divorced have a learning disabilities and children whose parents died because of drugs and alcohols also have a learning disabilities. Learning disabilities is like any other disabilities but in this case, it is the learning process that is disturbed. Almost orphan children suffer from different types of learning disabilities because learning disabilities diagnosed in early ages, mostly. Children with learning disabilities have difficulties receiving information, remembered, organized and then expressed or retrieved by brain. It caused of the pressure of losing their parents in an early age. Parents have a rule to monitoring their child's physical growth from year to year. To understand the ideal home environment that good for children's education, I already make a concrete research plan attached to this paper. The different culture to educate children in each family that I know is also attracted me to know more far, and the behaviour of the parents itself that may be affect the personality of children. Family also have the right to educate the children in their way. But sometimes their way is false and affect the psychology of the children. In Dongguk University I hope I can learn the ideal family involvement in children education that usefull for my research. As a resume of the problem I mentioned above, I am interested to majoring in Child and Family education as my Master Degree in Dongguk University.
