Below you will find information related to regalia pick-up, departmental receptions, and general information. The next email will include what you can expect during the UNCW Commencement ceremony, including what to bring, parking, etc. Visit the UNCW Commencement website for more information. REGALIA & HONOR CORD PICK-UP Regalia is available for pick-up in the UNCW Bookstore until May 8, 2014. Bring your UNCW One Card to be swiped when you pick-up your regalia. One set of regalia will be provided to you at no cost. You do not need to pre-order your regalia before picking it up at the UNCW Bookstore. If you are unable to pick-up your regalia by May 8, then you will be able to pick-up your regalia in Hanover gym before your ceremony. Only a picture ID will be required to pick-up regalia in Hanover Gym. If you do not have a UNCW One Card, contact the UNCW One Card Office to obtain one. Honor distinction recognition during the Commencement ceremony will be based on overall GPAs at the end of the fall 2013 semester. Those receiving honors and degrees with distinction will be recognized as a group during the Commencement ceremony. You may pick-up your academic distinction cords in the Office of the Registrar (James Hall) or in Hanover Gym prior to each ceremony. Here are three levels of distinction: Cum Laude - overall average of 3.50 Magna Cum Laude - overall average of 3.70 Summa Cum Laude - overall average of 3.90 For information concerning distinction qualifications, please contact the Office of the Registrar at 910.962.3125. ONSLOW EXTENSION STUDENTS Onslow extension students have the option of graduating from the UNCW main campus in Wilmington and/or at the Extension Site in Jacksonville. Visit the Onslow Extension Graduation website for more information.

ORDER COMMENCEMENT PHOTOS Professional photographers from Grad Images will take individual photographs of each of the graduates during their Commencement ceremony. Participants will receive a free photo proof and can order copies of their photograph directly from Grad Images. During the presentation of candidates, each graduate will pose for two pictures: one as a portrait and the other receiving their scroll. MAY 2014 COMMENCEMENT CELEBRATION The UNCW Alumni Association invites all graduating students and their families to drop in to the Wise Alumni House for a pre-graduation celebration, on Thursday, May 8 from 5:30-7:30 p.m.! Registration is available from now until May 4. Enjoy complimentary hors doeuvres, refreshments and door prizes as you meet the Alumni Association Board of Directors and find out about life after classes. You may be graduating, but the Alumni Association is here to remind you that you are a Seahawk for life! The Wise Alumni House is located at the corner of Market Street and 18th Street. Parking is available across the street at the Temple Baptist Church lot located on the corner of 18th Street and Princess Street.
