Woodruff Church of God e-Edition Newsletter April 1, 2014

Pastors Notes: Sunday night, I said several times that I was happy, happy, happy. What a great few weeks we have had. Our scheduled revival services were wonderful, the Lord is meeting needs, there are testimonies of people being healed, we just had 23 follow the Lord in believers baptism.. I am HAPPY!!!!! But I am not satisfied. There is more that God wants us to have. We also had an awesome prayer meeting Monday night. The presence of the Lord was so strong and those in attendance praised the Lord not only for what He has done but what He is going to do. The Holy Ghost gave out a message that said for us to keep on worshipping Him and He would pour out His glory. This is not the time to be as ease.this is the time to press. This is the time to continue to pray, fast, seek His face. If we seek Him, HE WILL BE FOUND. I want something that will affect every age group in our church. I want the glory to fall in every building on our property. I want His presence to fill every nook and cranny. I am hungry for more of Him. As I am writing this, I just got a text from someone saying .as I was praying and just meditating this morning, I felt like God wanted me to share this with you. Dont be anxious, but stand back and watch what I am about to do!. I receive that Word in the name of Jesus. God is on the edge of pouring Himself out in an unprecedented manner. Are you ready for it? Will you receive it when it comes? Are you in a place spiritually that you can receive it? I mentioned the baptisms earlier. We had 23 that were baptized Sunday night. We had young and older. We had male and female. We have people of various ethnicities. We had people that were from differing cultures. I kept thinking, this is what heaven is like. I thank God that He is helping us to have our church to be more like heaven.every people, tribe and nation. Please remember that we ALL are Gods creation and that Jesus died for ALL people. Lets do our part to make everyone feel at home and welcomed in the Lords House. Sunday morning, we will be presenting what 5N3 is all about. But let me give you a little heads up so you can be working on it already. Everything we are trying doing is In hopes that we can get unsaved and backslidden people right with God during the Easter Season. So start inviting your lost friends and family to these special events.

Please put your food item in a throw away pan or a plastic container. The glass dishes are very heavy for the ladies who carry in the meal. Please, no crock-pots because they are also too heavy and too hot for the ladies who carry in the meal. Also prepare a large portion of food. This also makes it easier on the families we serve. Thank you for all you do as you serve in this ministry.

Hey yall. Hope your week is off to a great start! I just wanted to say a huge thank you to the "Real Men" who were at March Madness this past Saturday. The breakfast AWESOME and the low country boil for lunch/supper was a "slam dunk"! If you were not there you really missed a great time of team work, fellowship, food, and fun. Band Of Brothers were all over the WCOG campus installing a flood light, nursery door, cleaning behind the stage of the CLC, pressure washing the youth/Hispanic church building, painting, checking a hot water heater, etc. We really have an amazing and hard working group of men. Well done Brothers!

This coming Thursday we will have our monthly Band Of Brothers Meeting in the mancave at 6:30. Brother Phil Pruitt is our projects coordinator and he has invited our special guests. Patton Butts and a few of the men who are with Men Of Action in the Church Of God will be talking to us about the projects they have and the missions projects that we may want to help with. Brothers, Let's make sure that we represent our church well and our ministry well by attending this very special meeting. Brother Wayne Bishop will be preparing our meal so you do not want to miss this event.

Special thanks to all those who worked so hard to make our meeting last week a great success. If we did not have our largest attendance, it came close to it. We deeply appreciate all the support the Seniors are giving the SAM Ministry. Anyone 50 or over or who is a grandparent, is welcome to be part of this ministry. You're missing a great opportunity for fellowship and fun. This past Thursday evening one of our helpers said that he was 46 years old and in just 4 more years he could join our group. He was excited about that and I just want Tim to know that he is already a valuable part of our team. Come join us on April 24 at 6:30 PM. 2014 SENIOR ADULT RETREAT: The annual Senior Adult Retreat will take place May 23-24 on the Camp Grounds in Mauldin.
