That means that humans have a relationship and unity with the environment. However, we are told also that only human beings are created as the image of God and given the authority to control and subdue the earth and everything in it. So, humans are an integral part of the creation (environment), but on the other side he is given the power to govern and care for the earth. Then the human relationship with the environment as two sides of the coin that must be lived in balance. At one side God gave us power to maintain the earth to fulfill our needs and at the other side we need to nurture the environment that God gave to us. The Bible describes the unity of man and nature in the story of man's creation. Although humans and nature are interdependent, the Bible also records clear disparities humans with natural elements other. Only man was created in God's likeness and given the power to control and subdue the earth with all other creatures, and to manage and maintain their environment. So humans have greater power than any other creatures. Human became a representative of God's rule in the name of God to other creatures. Human lived in the world as an ambassador of God. of God, then human power is the power of representation and guardianship. This power is power limited and must be accountable to the authorizer that is God. That's why man should not be arbitrary nature. Human must not be a tyrant. Human power is the care taker of power. Then human should enact a balanced manner. This means that the management and utilization of natural resources balanced with the maintenance or conservation efforts. Human as the image of God should utilize nature as part of worship and devotion to God. In other words, mastery over nature should be run in a responsible manner: utilizing whilst protecting and maintaining. True worship is to do whatever is the will of God in human life, including managing things and nurture environment entrusted power or leadership in humans. The Bible specifically noted the existence of desire in man to become like God and therefore desire that human violated the mandate of God. Actions violate God's message had an impact not only the destruction of man's relationship with God but also with each other and with nature. Human nature is no longer facing in the context of other creatures but it leads to a relationship God. Humans treat nature as a mere object to be owned and consumed useless. Nature considered only in the context of usability. Humans only noticed but did not pay attention to the task of mastering the task of maintaining. Thus they fail to carry out the task of leadership over nature. The roots of human mistreatment of nature revealed in terms such as : " land of the damned " , " laborious work " and " thorns and thistles to be generated the earth " ( Gen. 3:17-19 ) . that pushed tend to be greedy and materialistic. It can be said that the roots of today's destruction of the natural environment lies in the attitude of greedy men. Human nature is no longer innocent face just to make ends meet but also to satisfy their greed. In other words, human beings are sinful human beings who essentially changed from a needy being into a greedy being. Failure to carry out the task of leadership over human nature is also a failure of self-control, in particular desires. Human's relationship with God that both should be reflected in the relationship between man and nature. Communion with God should be reflected in communion with nature. A good relationship with nature, as well as directing us to the perfection of creation in the heavens and earth which is the final goal of the redemptive work of God. Padang is located in the province of West Sumatra. The city is known for its culinary spicy taste. Padang in 2009 was attacked by an earthquake measuring 7.9 on the Richter scale. After the occurrence of the earthquake in Padang are working hard to rebuild the city. When associated with this article about the relationship between humans and the environment as well as God. Thus, from the city of Padang we can see that, human should keep the earth created by god and maintain its state. When we look around us, so many people who forget to maintain continuity of the earth. Though not all, but if we look from the cities affected by natural disasters such as floods, earthquakes and others. So when we explore that area is already prone to disasters from long ago. But people often forget to listen to what is said and more natural indulged selfish to achieve a profit by exploiting the earth.

Humans are responsible for the continuation of this earth. Because humans have intellect and the mind to do more for the planet. Often we hear of cases in the news, will the wild animals that destroy houses. The wild animals were killed for ending the harm is considered citizens. But we forgot to ask how the wild animals that could get home residents. We forget that the man who might take home from the wild animals. We make their home as a place of business and where we live. We forget that they also need to live. In addition to the land that we take, we also take their food sources as well. The number of poaching endangered animals will, which ended in the destruction of existing food pyramid. Humans have the gift to think, we can tell which are going up and not. But human often closes conscience about what we should do. As an example we can see that from the case of Lapindo mudflow in Indonesia. Some sources say that the cause of the mudflow is because the company refused to build security for reasons of production cost. So the pressure from under the ground overflowing and Lapindo mudflow happened. From the case we can see that because of human selfishness, even nature reacts and ultimately humans themselves who feel the negative impact. Similarly, the cases have recently occurred that is smoked in Pekanbaru. People in pekanbaru currently difficult to move. Because the presence of thick smoke due to forest fires. Forest fires in Pekanbaru is not the first to occur but may be the most severe. Smoke arising not only makes people difficult due to difficulty breathing activity but also affects health. Some pregnant women reportedly suffered a miscarriage as a result of inhaling too much smoke from the forest fires. Forests in

many regions Pekanbaru be converted to oil palm land. They change the forest into forest land by burning. In the dry season, hot weather made the fire spread faster and ultimately difficult to stop. When we look at the actual state of the environment around us we need to thank God who has created the earth and everything in it so perfectly and beautifully. Besides the beauty, the earth also comes with its resources that we can use for our needs. Petroleum, minerals, gold, and many other crops that humans have mastered. However, instead we try to have this nature continue. Humans actually looking for ways how to continue to exploit this natural and forget to take care of this earth. How humans can preserve the environment? All of that I think we should start from self. Environmental preservation efforts is our collective responsibility. In this case, environmental preservation efforts is not only the responsibility of government alone, but rather a shared responsibility between the government and the public. In practice, the government has issued several policies that can be used as a legal basis for government officials and the public to act to preserve the environment. There are different ways how we can preserve the environment, for example: 1. Perform tillage land according to the conditions and capabilities, as well as regulate irrigation or drainage system so that water flow is not stagnant. 2. Giving preferential treatment to the waste, such as treated before discharged, so as not to pollute the environment.

Reforestation on land that is critical, barren and bare, and conduct selective logging or slash planting so that the forests, water sources coastal areas / coastal, and fauna in it can be maintained. 4. Creating and using items that are environmentally friendly industrial products. Meanwhile, as a student what can you do efforts in environmental preservation efforts? Some things you can do as a form of environmental protection, among others, as follows: 1. Save paper and pencil, 2. Disposing of waste in place, 3. 4. 5. Utilizing items recycled, Conserve electricity, water, and fuel, as well as, Planting and caring for trees in the surrounding residential neighborhood.

Besides the environmental conservation efforts should start from each individual with an emphasis on the importance of environmental awareness for human life and the preservation of nature.
