1. Was the job shadow you completed the same career field you identified in your career PowerPoint? If you completed the experience in another field, explain why there was a need to change career fields. Answer: No, the job shadow was not the same career field I identified in my career PowerPoint but its a possible career field I can go into, however, it also can be a second job I can have while, working on my career.

2. As a result of your job shadow experience, are you still planning to pursue the same career or has the experience led you in a new direction? Explain. Answer: Im still planning on pursue the same career of Accounting but the experience taught me a lot and gave me an interest in the New Fire Department.

3. During your job shadow, what skills did you observe that are needed to be proficient at this career? Answer: The skills I observe that are needed to be proficient at this career are: Full Body Strength (plus upper body) Cardiovascular Conditioning Flexibility Train Daily Physically Fit Keep Safety as number one priority.

What activities and or duties did you like/dislike about the experience?

Answer: I liked the duties of the New Orleans Fire Department because they respond to fires and medicals calls, they assist the public, and they do communities outreach.

5. Do you see yourself doing this job for the duration of your working career? (i.e., 15 to 20 years in the same field) Answer: Yes, I can see myself doing this job for the duration of my working career because giving back to the community is same I love doing.

6. Aside from academic preparation in school, what are some other things that you can do in order to prepare for your intended career field? Answer: Besides going to school for academic preparation, I will have to attend the New Orleans Fire Academy and pass the Civil Service test to become a firefighter.

Is there any important tips or advice you were given by your mentor concerning your career

Answer: The important tips I received from my mentor was to stay physically fit, take safety precautions, and always put the public or others first.

Considering everything you have learned, what is most invaluable lesson you have learned from your job shadowing experience, and how will this help you to move forward in your intended career field? Answer: The most invaluable lesson I have learned from job shadowing the fire department was that safety is your number one priority. By having safety as my number one priority, this will ensure that I would have a promising future in the fire department and the safety of myself and others.
