Group Research Project Rubric

Trait
Content: Did the presentation have valuable material? Collaboration: Did everyone contribute to the presentation? Did everyone seem well versed in the material? Organization: Was the presentation well organized and easy to follow? Presentation: Did the presenters speak clearly? Did they engage the audience? Was it obvious the material had been rehearsed? Use of Sources: Students use and cite at least three outside sources verbally during their presentation. Timing: The students stayed within the time limit. Students use exceptional creativity and professionalism to develop a fantastic/memorable product.

Presentation had moments where valuable material was presented, but as a whole content was lacking. The teammates sometimes worked from others ideas; however, it seems as though certain people did not do as much work as others. There were minimal signs of organization or preparation.

Presentation had a good amount of material and benefited the class.

Presentation had an exceptional amount of valuable material and was extremely beneficial to the class. The students definitely learned the content. The teammates always worked from others ideas. It was evident that all of the group members contributed equally to the presentation.

The teammates never worked from others ideas. It seems as though only a few people worked on the presentation. The presentation lacked organization and had little evidence of preparation.

The teammates worked from others ideas most of the time, and it seems like every member did some work, but some people are carrying the presentation.

The presentation had organizing ideas, but it could have been much stronger with better preparation. Sometime it was unclear what topic was being addressed. Presenters were occasionally confident with their presentation; however, the presentation was not as engaging as it could have been for the class.

The presentation was well organized, well prepared, and easy to follow. It was easy to follow the points as they were presented.

Presenters were not confident and demonstrated little evidence of planning prior to the presentation.

Presenters were not consistent with the level of confidence/preparedness they showed the class, but they had some strong moments.

The time limit was not reached. Students dont present or introduce anything more than the basic expectations of the assignment.

The students went over the 15 minute limit and had to be stopped. Students present in a way that is better than average, but their overall presentation inspires little creativity.

The group fell within the time limit (12-15), but probably needed to include more information. Students have excellent presentational skills with good information. They attempted to develop creative ideas for presenting their information. These ideas were unique for their class, but it is not necessarily inspiring or memorable.

The time-limit was successfully dealt with, and the group presented ample information in the time provided. Students use exceptional presentational skills while presenting information in a way that requires others to fully participate in their presentation. The ideas used to present are inspiring and unique. The groups presentation is memorable!
