ABOUT SHAHDARA
Park Plaza is located in East Delhis upcoming Central Business District of Shahdara. Shahdara derives its meaning From Urdu Door of kings". The hotel is only 12 kilometers from New Delhis Central Business District, Connaught Place. The hotel is in close proximity to the Sahibabad Industrial Area, Noida and South Delhi. New Delhi is the capital city of India housing prominent places like the Parliament, Rashtrapati Bhawan (Presidents House) and the supreme court of India. The city was Founded in 1911 and the name New De|hi was christened in 1927. New Delhi is one of` the worlds top global cities and is the second most popular city in India. The city is known For its wide, treelined boulevards and is home to numerous museums and land marks.

CONNECTIONS
By Rail The New Delhi Railway Station is only 12 kilometers away. It is an important railhead connecting almost all major cities of the country. Rajdhani, Shatabdi, janShatabdi, mail / express, shuttle/ passenger trains with regular scheduled service make commuting comfortable. Delhi Metro with state of the art airconditioned coaches makes commuting easy For the residents of Delhi, closest metro station "Karkarduma" is only 0.8 kilometers away. By Air The nearest domestic and international airport is Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi which is around 30 kilometers away. Regular international and domestic scheduled / chartered flights connect this city to other major metros namely Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru, Kolkata & other countries as well.

By Road Park Plaza is in very close proximity to South Delhi - 20 kilometer. The hotel is located very close to national highway - 24 thus enjoying connectivity to many major cities of India. Important distance are: Agra- 200 kilometers, Amritsar-450 kilometers, jaipur-250 kilometers, Chandigarh - 250 kilometers, Shimla - 360 kilometers, Mussoorie 300 kilometers, Lucknow 450 kilometers, Ludhiana - 320 kilometers. Anand Vihar inter state bus terminal is only 5 kilometers from the hotel.

FIRE SAFETY
When you arrive at the hotel Locate the fire EXIT, familarise yourself with the directions of the hotel from your room. Please find out cow to shut off the room cooling. Refer to the Fire Exit Plan behind the rooms main door. . To avoid fire please Do not smoke in bed. Do not throw smoldering material in the wastebasket. Disconnect all electrical appliances after use. . All our staff has been instructed in fire procedures and frequent patrols are made to all parts of the premises. If you discover or suspect a fire, dial 9 for operator If it is a minor fire, remove any combustible items that are close to the fire. If it is a major fire, please leave the area after sounding an alarm. Switch off the cooling in your room. Lock the door and take the key 'with you. Please leave the floor using the nearest Exit.

Do not use the elevator If there is smoke in the corridor, avoid the elevator and head for the Fire Exit. If Exit seems unsafe, return to the room and shut the door quick and call operator on ext 9. lf you are forced to stay in your room Call the Operator (Dial-9) and give your location. Switch off the cooling in your room to prevent smoke being forced in the room. Place the mattress up against the door. Use wet towels, sheets and other materials to stuff all door cracks in order to prevent smoke from entering your room. Stay calm and kindly follow the instructions. Help is on the way.

PREFACE

As a part of curriculum of Bachelor of hotel management {BHM& CT}, the students are required to undergo training for a period of 6 months in the Hospitality Industry for Industrial Exposure. I SAURABH JAISWAL undertook my training at Park Plaza Hotel. This training is meant to give the students a brief glimpse of the industry and help them in gaining a new perspective of the industry that they have decided to join. The training helps the students to be more appreciative of the finer points of their education and give them basis to ask in-depth questions from their teachers after their experience. I have compiled this report under the guidelines laid down by M J P ROHILKHAND UNIVERSITY, Bareilly.
