Paul, Margeret and children spent Christmas with Margaret's family and will be headed to Florida any day now, where Paul will be teach ing in Florida Christian College at Kissinunee. We expect them to be with us for our Faith Promise Conference here at the Largo church in February.
Brion and Joyce are very happy in their home after being so crowded

into the college for so long. Now the children have a yard to play
in and less confusion and more room.

Ib-ul and Kathy are back working in the Harare Christian Church and surrounding areas. The church did well in their absence but the at tendance did suffer, which was probably due to not having a regular preacher. This will pick up we feel sure now that Ib.ul is back there. 'Ihe new church they started at Sunningdale is a year old now and do ing well. God has blessed that new group of people and a new year we pray will bring many blessings still and more workers. Kathy's Shona ladies' group is doing literacy three days a week. They also have cooking classes and are making baptismal robes for the church.

Pray with us that this new year will bring blessings untold in the
college and church and many other programs connected with them.

We appreciate so much your prayers, concerns, and financial help,

without which we would be unable to continue our work here in
Zimbabwe.

In Christi&.n love,

Jack and Peggy Pennington

Thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my patL-Psalm 119:105

May 1989
Greetings in the name of Lord Jesus,

i pray that all is well for each of you and that the spring weather is
renewing to you

My schedule has kept me busy as i am traveling quite a bit. / have a full

schedule until the middle of June., and am excited to be able to share about the

work 1 have been involved in over the last three years. Please pray for the young people 1 have spoken to regarding missions. They are each searching for guidance

and direction as to where the Lord would have them serve. It is good to be able to
share in that way with them.

Some of the churches 1 have visited or soon will visit, to present my work
are:

April 30

- LelandChristian Church, Mableton, Ga.

Campus House, Knoxville, In. Univ of Tennessee June 4-9 - First Christian Ch urch, Adamsville, Tn June 11-17 - first Christian Church, Seminole, Fl. July 10-14 - North American Christian Convention, Louisville

May 7 May 21 May 28

- Unity Christian Church, Maryvilie. In. King's Way Christoian Church, Goose Creek, SC.

Looking over my schedule it does not seem possible that my time home will soon have passed by so quickly 1 have truly enjoyed my time with so many friends and meeting and getting to know new friends My time spent here has been very special to me. / want to thank you all for the prayers that have been lifted up forme. 1 continue to learn how important each ofyou are to me and my ministy
1 received a letter from one of the Zimbabwe Christian College's new graduates...Mr. Henry Dzivah He said, "1 do not think 1 will ever forget you in my life. 1 say that because of the good work and help you gave in our Lord's ministry. As 1 think more about you, 1 seem like a child without a mother Anywhere, 1 hope

that we will meet again one day if God allows us " CThis is copied as it was

written.) This truly brought tears to my eyes and helps me to know that 1 am doing
what the Lord desires for me at this time. The people of Zimbabwe are truly thankful and loving and desire to grow....but they need people who care and will take
the time to teach them..

/ continue to esk for your eomest prayers regarding my work in Zimbabwe. And as i traueJ and continue to look for more support, so that /
may be able to return. Two of my biggest needs at this time are: 0 $5000.00 for the purchase of another used car 2) $400.00 more per month in support

Please pray about these areas also. Maybe you can help through a one time gift or through monthly support. / know so many of you are presently supporting me and / LO^E, PRAY and THANK YOU all Without each of you, i would not be in Zimbabwe, i do loue each of you. Please prayerfully consider
supporting the work i am imiolued in. Again, you are in my thoughts and prayers. And / continue to THANK
YQU FOR YOUR CONSTANT LOVE THROUGH YOUR PRAYERS AND SUPPORT.

With much love,

If you are unable to help Jayne financially, please keep her in your
prayers. Maybe you know someone at your church or at work who would be willing to help support Jayne. Tell them about Jayne, and let them read this
letter. Time is short in Zimbabwe, and in the world. Now is the time to reach
lost souls for Jesus VOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE.

In Christian love.

September, 1989
Dear Precious Friends in Christ, Greetings in the nameof Jesus from Harare,

Hov special my time in the U.S. was to me. It was so exciting to see and visit many of you. I truly enjoyed sharing withso many about the work herein Zimbabwe and especially the Zimbabwe Christian College and the Greencroft Christian Church. It was greatto return to many familar smiling faces and
meet some new ones too 11

ZlliBABWE CHRISTIAN COLLEGE

The college has 35 students this new year (began in May 1989)three of them are females and live offcampus plus two men that live with their families near-by the campus. We have had 26 graduates to date since 1984with this past class being our largest of 14graduates. It has been exciting to hear of new churches planted and schools hiring our graduates to teach Religious Education. The graduates
havelooked for placesthat need thei r services and begun to work hard.

Three ofour 1988 graduates were sent tothe Kentucky Christian College last year for further training and hope to receive their BA degree in the next two years. I was able to spend a day with these three while home--they are working and studing hard. We look forward to their return and the help they
will be for the Lord's work here.

GREENCROFT CHRISTIAN CHURCH

How exciting tosee how the Greencroft Christian Church has grown. We have numerous new people and several new families with strong leadership abilities. Charles and Teresa Kaguda have been a real asset to the church leadership. They are an active, growing Christian couple. The youth have been helped greatly by Bruce Yon one of the first year students from Z.C.C. He works with the Senior Youth on Friday nights and with the Junior Youth on Saturday afternoons. Both groups have grown and are
continuing to grow.

We had YBS the week ofAugust 28. We had an average of 125 kids and only 18 he! per/teachers. We
always look forward to this week with a lot of mixed emotions but the Lord blessed our effforts and we

had a great week. It always seems to be a great time of laughs and joys as the children learn memory
work, songs, games and their lesson.
CONTINUE TO PRAY

Thank you for the continued prayers and support you have each blessed me with. My ministry here would not andcould not survive without each of you. Please pray for my strength and myattitude as I begin a new term. Know that I love you and always love to hear from you.
"Peace to the brothers and love with faith from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Grace to all

who loveour Lord Jesus Christ with an undying love." (Eph. 6:23-24)
Lovingly and faithfully,

October 26.1989

Dear friends of Jayne.

The enclosed letter was sent from Zimbabwe to those who regularly send financial support for her work. We decided all her friends should receive a copy. Jayne doesn't ask for much, but she works very hard for her Lord. Whenshe went to Zimbabwe In 1986. she went with very little cash, but she was able to buy a used
VW Jetta. This car received much use and has now reached the end of the line. During her furlough she

set a goal to raise funds to purchase another vehicle. But this did not happen. She borrowed $6,000. and purchased another used car In South Africa - a Toyota. Cars are not readily available In Zimbabwe. After arriving back In Zimbabwe, she learned the duty fee would be 95% of vaue ($5,700) to bring It
to Harare.

Jayne had plannedto sell the YW and use the funds to repay her loan, and to use the balance to add to her ministry. She sold the YW on Friday. October 20th andthen went to get the Toyota.

Currently her regular supportcomes fromfive (5) churches3 In her hometown ofTallahassee, plus fourteen (14) friends. All of which allows her a monthly salary of $550. plus *500 for her
mission work.

Because youshow an Interest In her work, we ask you to prayerfully consider the following;

1) Pray everyday for Jayne. her safety, her ministry and her health. 2) Once or twice a yearwrite a letter ofencouragement to Jayne. (An aerogram costs 39 cents) 3) Find something you can do without. Send $1 or $2 per month to financial support her
ministry. This would help her to reach out to more Zimbabweans for Jesus Christ

All of us must do more for Jesus. If all her friends would respond, who knows what mavelous things
God will do for us.

"How. then, can they call on the one they have not believed In? And how can they believe In the oneof whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone praching to them? And how can they preach unless they are sent? As It Is written. 'How beautiful are the feet of those who bring the good news!'" (Rom. 10:14-15)

Dearest Friends, Greetings of Thariksgivirtg and joy for holiday season/ this Monderfal

As I reflect upon the last four yearSf I realize more and more my need for each one of you, I knoN that my time here has been at times trying and at times full of joy. Each one of you^ through your prayers and your gifts has helped me to grot*i in the Lord more and more. My prayer is that you have each grown to love and depend
on the Lord more in these last four years too/

As we approach the Christmas season 1 am reminded of the grateful and thankful faces of the students in the past Mhen I have given them a pen and some candy for Chr i stmas-a small gift but the joy and excitement thay have given in return makes my itork load here seem lighter Just as the Magi brought gifts to the baby Jesus boMing before him and worshipping Him (matt, 2:11} and the shepherds glorified and praised God for all the things they had heard and seen Cluke 2:20). May each of us look forward to this season and truly give thanks^ glorifying the one who came to give each of us eternal
