Human Resource Department Shinhan Bank Viet Nam Limited 100 Nguyen Thi Minh Khai St, Ward 6, Dist 3, HCM City

Dear Ms. Viet Ha, I have heard from a friend of mine that your Bank is recruiting for International Settlements position for your new branch. I was very delighted when hearing this information, and personally I myself think that this position seems to fit me well according to my education, abilities and career interests. I as well have enclosed my CV for your consideration.

Although I am now an undergraduate student majoring in Business Administration of Foreign Trade University but I think this is a very good opportunity for me to prepare for my future career. During 4 years in campus, I have learned quite a lot of knowledge, abilities as well as soft skills. I also had a chance to participate in the Youth Union in my University. This period has offered me challenges to overcome and experience the difficulties. By planning and finishing projects and events, I have gradually built some abilities which meet the demand of the position such as: working in a group or individually, object orientation, adaptability. Moreover, the time pressure in those projects is huge so its not over exaggerated to say that I can work under pressure quite well. Throughout these activities, I have to sharpen my English, too.

I am also a boy scout. This dynamic environment provides me the like-no-other experience about helping and caring for other people, chivalry, brotherhood, and knowledge. Brothers and sisters in here help me to mirror myself as a part of a small society. This ultimately contributes to my self-correction process and continuously tells me that I must not stop learning about how to live a good life.

In another hand, in 2010, I have cycled across Vietnam from HCM city to Ha Noi in one month. This volunteer trip has changed me a lot. I have seen too many beautiful places around Vietnam, helped a lot of unfortunate people, and especially, this has given me a chance to experience the saying: determination will eventually overcome harshness. Also, the most important thing I have learned is, I have to take responsible for my own future, my own career. And the position your Bank offering is a very good chance for me to begin my working time. As a fresh man but I do not think that it is a large disadvantage. With the enthusiasm and positive attitude come together with abilities I get, I quite believe that those will help me to compensate partly my shortage of experience. Beside, as a quick learner, I hope that I can learn from your out-standing staffs as much as possible.

Because of all of the things above, I am looking forward for an interview as required. And if it goes well, I hope that I can get this job and perform it effectively.

Thank you for your consideration. Sincerely, HCMC, July 3, 2012 Candidate: Le Phuc Thinh.
