The first time you use your Xuron cutter you will notice the difference in our tools. The cutting edges do not line up perfectly. In fact, this is Xurons unique Micro-Shear blade bypass cutting method, which we developed and patented. Compared to traditional wire cutters that cut by compression (squeezing the material until it cuts, leaving a spike or pinch that requires clean-up), the cutting blades of a Xuron tool bypass for a sheer cut that leaves a clean flat surface. Compression cutter blades meet edge-to-edge, causing a spiked cut and an eventual dulling of the tool. This is a cross section view of a XURON Micro-Shear flush cutter from the tip end. Note how the blades bypass this is a very important feature that results in a clean square cut with no spikes.

Model TK2400 Bead Stringers Tool Kit
Tool kit contains three basic tools for beaders: Xurons model 410 for cutting both soft and exible stranded bead wire, model 450 Tweezer Nose Plier, and the model 488 Round Nose Plier. Sturdy canvas pouch has two additional open spaces for tweezers or a beading awl, making storage and protection easy for these useful tools.

Model 9180 High Durability Scissor

Designed and manufactured for cutting Kevlar and other high strength bers. These materials, though enjoyed by beaders for their abrasion resistance and stretch-free nature, will ruin the cutting edges of a wire cutter or traditional scissor quickly. Model 9100 Oval Head Micro-Shear Flush Cutter

Oval shaped cutter head lends itself perfectly to wire art and chainmaille. Great for cutting jump rings up to 12 AWG (2mm) and precious metal wire. Handles are 5 (127mm) in length and well suited for small/medium size hands. Soft rubber handle grips and return spring add comfort and control.

Model 2193 Heavy Duty Double Flush Cutter

This is the perfect tool for cutting hard wire and memory wire up to 1mm diameter. The Heavy Duty Double Flush Cutter offers a nontraditional approach to cutting. Cutting blades of this tool completely bypass, causing them to break the wire rather than squeeze it in order to cut. As a result, both the cut and cut off sections of wire are near perfectly square. Capable of cutting soft wire up to 12 AWG (2mm).

Model 488 Round Nose Plier

Used for looping and forming wire. Plier blades are round at the tip and transition to an elliptical shape for multiple forming possibilities. Although very delicate in appearance, the plier blades will stay aligned (not cross) when in use, unlike less expensive alternatives.

Model 485FN Flat Nose Plier

Plier jaws are at and wide for bending, forming, grasping, holding and attening wire and other materials. As with all Xuron brand pliers, this tool offers maximum comfort. Traditional, bulky, drop-forged pliers dont compare to the quality and versatility our pliers provide.

Model 2193F Heavy Duty Double Flush Cutter with Wire Retaining Clamps
Similar to our model 2193, but with outside retaining clamps that hold the wire perpendicular to the jaws for straight at cuts on both sides of the wire. The clamps also prevent wire y always, so you can keep track of your precious metal pieces. Cuts soft wire up to 12 AWG (2mm) and hard wire up to 1.5mm.

Model 450BN Bent Nose Plier

A bent nose version of our model 450 Tweezer Nose Plier great for handling small beads or delicate items while keeping the hand in a horizontal position. Soft, non-slip rubber grips and return spring offer excellent control while working.

Model 410 Micro-Shear Flush Cutter

Similar to the model 170-II in size and shape, but its cutting edges are harder, making it perfect for cutting exible stranded bead wire without damage to cutting edges. Can be used for cutting soft wire up to 18 AWG (1mm). This tool is also available with an angled cutter head (Model 420) for better access and sight when cutting between beads or a bead and clasp.

Model 2175 Maxi-Shear Flush Cutter

Designed for your most demanding applications, this cutter is manufactured from .125 thick steel and capable of cutting soft wire up to 12 AWG (2mm) with ease. The oval conguration of the cutter head offers strength and the longer (6, 152mm) curved handles lend additional mechanical advantage for easier cutting. Ideal for larger hands. Also available in a short handle conguration (Model 2175SH).
