Divisions and Classes
Short Stirrup -- Fences 18”. Open to riders 10 & under who have not com-
peted in any HJEO, USEF or OHJA show with fences 2’9” or higher. Trotting not
to be penalized. Under saddle walk-trot only.
Long Stirrup -- Fences 18”. Open to riders 11 & over who have not competed
in any HJEO, USEF or OHJA show with fences 2’ 9”or higher. Trotting not to be
penalized. Under saddle walk-trot only.
Academy Short/Long Stirrup -- Fences 18”. Open to riders eligible for the
short or long stirrup section and horses actively used by multiple riders in a
lesson program. Trotting simple changes of lead not to be penalized. Under
saddle walk-trot only. Open to those who have not competed in any HJEO,
USEF or OHJA show with fences 2’9” or higher.
Very Low Hunter -- Fences 2’3”. Open to all riders of any age.
Academy Beginner Hunter -- Fences 2’3”. Open to riders eligible for begin-
ner rider hunter competing on horses actively used by multiple riders in a
lesson program. Simple changes of lead not to be penalized. Open to those
who have not competed in any HJEO, USEF or OHJA show with fences 2’9” or
higher.
Beginner Rider Hunter -- Fences 2’3”. Open to riders of any age who have
not competed in any HJEO, USEF or OHJA show with fences 2’9” or higher.
Intermediate Rider Hunter -- Fences 2’6”. Open to riders of any age who have
not competed in any HJEO, OHJA, or USEF show with fences at 3’0” or higher.

Modified Child/Adult Hunter -- Fences 2’9”
GO Mini Medal
To be shown over a figure eight course at 2’6”. Equitation only to count. Must
be a member of GO and a beginner intermediate rider as of December 1. Ad-
ditional tests of the top four to six riders are required. Riders placing first or
second will qualify for year-end ride off to determine champion for the year.
HJEO Hunter
To be shown over a 2’6” figure 8 course. This class is designed for beginner and
intermediate riders and is open to all non-professional members of HJEO on
horses owned by HJEO members. First place winners will be eliminated for the
remainder of the year and will be qualified for the annual ride-off. The HJEO
hunter class is a horse qualification class only. The horse/rider combination
winner of the year-end ride-off is no longer eligible for this class. Three must
be entered and shown for this class to count.
OHJA Medal
Open to OHJA and HJEO junior and amateur riders. At least three must com-
plete the course. Consists of 8 jumps with two changes of direction. Fences
3’, spreads not to exceed 3’. Testing of top two - six riders required. USEF tests
1-14.

HJEO Special Ride Off Classes
CLASS 202 HJEO Mini Medal Final (No Entry Fee)
Open to riders who are current members of HJEO and have finished first or
second in any HJEO Medal Class during the current show year (January, 1
2009 to present). To be shown over a course of 8 jumps set at 2’6”. Additional
test of the top 4-6 riders required, tests 1-7 may be used.

Blazing Saddles $500 Low Jumper Classic -- Fences at .95m
Class 103
Blazing Saddles $1000 High Jumper Classic -- Fences at 1.05m

OHJA Ride-Off Classes and Specs
Class 204 OHJA Mini-Medal Ride-Off
NoEntry Fee
Class Requirements:
1. To be held during each competition year.
2. To be organized by the OHJA Horse Show Committee.
3. Course requirements will be consistent with courses for HJEO Mini-Med-
al Classes and GO Mini-Medal Classes. The course will be reviewed and
approved by the horse show committee prior to being set by the course
designer. The course must be challenging, yet jumpable, and suitable for
the OHJA Mini-Medal Ride-Off.
Rider Eligibility: Open to OHJA Members who finish first or second in any
HJEO Mini-Medal Class or GO Mini-Medal Class held at any OHJA Recog-
nized Competition either (i) during the competition year or (ii) during
the preceding competition year if the rider qualifies for the OHJA Mini-
Medal Ride-Off after it has been held in the preceding competition year.
Three riders must complete the course in any of the foregoing classes
in order for the class to be a qualifying class for the OHJA Mini-Medal
Ride-Off.
Course Requirements. To be shown over an equitation figure eight type
course of eight obstacles with the fences 2’6”. Equitation only to count.
Additional testing of the top 4 to 6 riders is required (Tests 1-9).
OHJA Awards: Awards and ribbons through tenth place will be awarded.

206 Oklahoma Medal Ride-Off
No Entry Fee
Class Requirements:
(1) The Oklahoma Medal Ride-Off will be organized by the OHJA Horse Show
Committee.
(2) The course requirements, fence heights, judging will be the same as for
USEF Hunter Seat Medal Class.
Horse/Rider Eligibility.
(1) Open to OHJA Members (other than alumni members) who finish first or
second while a member, in any local, regional, national, or international
equitation medal class. Three riders must complete the course in any of
the foregoing classes in order for the class to be a qualifying class for the
Oklahoma Medal Ride-Off.
(2) The board of directors may extend additional invitations if it determines
there are inadequate winners to compete in the Oklahoma Medal Ride-
Off.
(3) Any rider winning first or second in qualifying classes at competitions
other than OHJA-recognized competitions must provide verification of
the win to the points secretary in order to qualify for the Oklahoma Medal
Ride-Off.
(4) Winners of the Oklahoma Medal Ride-Off will not be eliminated from
competition in future Oklahoma equitation classes or Oklahoma Medal
Ride-Offs.
OHJA Awards:Awards and ribbons through eighth place will be awarded.
