Tolerance Analysis
The Tolerance Analysis utility iterates through all permutations of key tolerance conditions. User options include varying the sign convention on system loads and specifying if tolerance conditions apply to one or all bearing rows. The utility seeks out worst case Hertzian contact stress and notifies the user if there are truncated elements.

Sensitivity Studies
Orbis supports rapid bearing design and quick solutions to common what if scenarios via the Sensitivity Studies utility. Effects of key parameters, such as contact angle, curvature, preload, bearing ring fitup, temperature, and speed are effortlessly analyzed. Output results are plotted in interactive windows providing the user with click-n-drag mouse zooming, complete plot reformatting, and the ability to save final plots to image files. Additionally, raw plot data can be exported to Microsoft Excel for further post processing.

Database Editors
Orbis maintains user databases for bearings (shown), materials and lubricants. Each database contains a graphical user interface with professionally organized input fields designed to minimize entry errors and provide quick parameter recognition. Orbis also performs input error checking to minimize entry errors. Over 25 parameters are required to define a bearing, material, and lubricant. Orbis saves valuable time by ensuring the user never has to lookup and enter parameters more than once. The database also provides analysis repeatability by making certain the same parameters are always used.
