ChemE Car is a national organization run by the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE). This organization is a branch of the national grou . Section 2: Purpose The stu!ents of the ChemE Car" a stu!ent ro#ect team in the Chemical Engineering $e artment" maintain a goal of !esigning" buil!ing" an! testing a small%scale automobile that is o&ere! an! controlle! by chemical means to com ete in regional an! national com etitions s onsore! by AIChE. Section 3: Non-Discrimination Policy ChemE Car an! its members shall not !iscriminate against any in!ivi!ual(s) for reasons of age" color" !isability" gen!er i!entity or e' ression" national origin" race" religion" se'" se'ual orientation" or veteran status. Article II - Membership Section 1: otin! Members (embers of ChemE Car must be un!ergra!uate stu!ents at The Ohio State University. These members &ill have voting o&er &ithin ChemE Car. Section 2: "omposition o# $r!ani%ation The grou must consist of at least ) members. (embers must be from at least t&o !ifferent chemical engineering classes &ith no more than *+, of the total membershi from one class. (embers shall be !ivi!e! bet&een these committees by interest or ho& the /resi!ent sees fit. The a!visor of ChemE Car must be a faculty member of the Chemical Engineering $e artment at The Ohio State University. If the a!visor !eci!es to ste !o&n" it is the res onsibility of the E'ecutive Committee to fin! a ne& a!visor. Section 2: Ad,isor Duties The a!visor must be the liaison bet&een the ChemE Car organization an! the aca!emic5cor orate boar!s. The a!visor must also &or8 &ith ChemE Car to obtain fun!s for the aca!emic year.

Article II - Meetin!s ChemE car officers &ill meet on a monthly basis (&ith a!!itional meetings &hen necessary). The team as a &hole &ill meet 9uarterly (&ith a!!itional meetings as necessary). Sub%teams (such as /o&er Source Team) &ill meet as &or8 re9uires. Article III - Method o# Amendin! "onstitution /ro ose! amen!ments to the ChemE Car Constitution must be submitte! in &riting to the /resi!ent rior to an E'ecutive Committee meeting. A vote on a ro ose! amen!ment must be intro!uce! an! !iscusse! at a general meeting. The Constitution may then be amen!e! by t&o%thir!s of the voting membershi of ChemE Car" sub#ect to final a roval of the A!visor.
