1. CLICK ON WINDOWS START BUTTON AND THEN CLICK ON CONTROL PANEL 2. IN CONTROL PANEL CLICK ON CHANGE KEYBOARDS OR OTHER INPUT METHODS 3. UNDER REGION AND LANGUAGE TAB CLICK ON CHANGE KEYBOARDS

4. CLICK ON THE ADD BUTTON

5. SELECT & ADD THE LANGUAGES - ARABIC (EYGPT) WITH KEYBOARD ARABIC (101), CLICK OK TO ADD THE LANGUAGE. IN SAME MANNER ADD MARATHI (INDIA) WITH KEYBOARD DEVNAGRI AND CLICK OK TO ADD THE LANGUAGE. 6. CLOSE THIS WINDOW.

7. OPEN MS-WORD AND CLICK ON THE ROUND OFFICE BUTTON AND CLICK ON WORD OPTIONS (OFFICE 2007) OR OPEN MS WORD AND CLICK ON THE BLUE COLOURED FILE BUTTON AND CLICK ON OPTIONS (MS WORD 2010)

8. OPEN MS WORD, CLICK ON THE LANGUAGE SETTINGS BUTTON (OFFICE 2007) OR CLICK ON LANGUAGE BUTTON ON RHS AND THEN CLICK ON LANGUAGE SETTINGS BUTTON (FOR OFFICE 2010) 9. FROM EDITING LANGUAGES TAB SELECT ARABIC (EYGPT) LANGUAGE FROM AVAILABLE EDITING LANGUAGES AND CLICK ADD BUTTON TO ADD TO THE ENABLED EDITING LANGUAGES. SIMILARLY ADD MARATHI (INDIA)

10. CLICK ON OK . YOU HAVE NOW ENABLED THE LANGUAGES FOR PROPER TYPING. CLOSE MS WORD. 11. TO SET THE FONTS AS DEFAULT REOPEN MS WORD AND PRESS RIGHT CLICK ON MOUSE AND SELECT FONT.

12. IN THE FONT WINDOW SELECT DVOT-SurekhMR FONT IN THE LATIN TEXT FONT AND ALSO IN THE COMPLEX SCRIPTS FONT OPTION

13. CLICK ON DEFAULT BUTTON TO MAKE THE FONT AS DEFAULT FOR EVERY TIME YOU OPEN MS-WORD.

2. SETTINGS IN MSWORD & EXCEL 2007/2010


1. When you open MS Work 2007/2010 you see an Security Warning Macros have been disabled message.

2. Click on Office Button -> Word Options button -> Select Trust Center button -> Click on Macros button and then SELECT option Enable all Macros. From Macro Settings & SELECT TRUST Access to VBA . Option from Developer Macro settings -> Click on OK button (MS Office 2007) { Click on Blue coloured File Tab - > click on Options option -> select Trust Center ->same as in case of MSOffice 2007}

Click on BLUE File button -> Options -> Select Proofing -> Click on AutoCorrect Options button. 1. Disable ALL the options under AutoCorrect Tab. 2. From tabs AutoFormat as you Type and AutoFormat disable entries Straight Quotes, Ordinals , Hyphens.. and Fractions..{(MS Office 2007 users click on Office button ->word options->Proofing}

4. Click on BLUE File button -> Options -> Select Advance -> Under Editing Options section DISABLE the setting Use Sequence Checking click on OK.

CONVERSION IN EXCEL 1. Open the exel file to be converted, say wwe.xls (typed using dvb-ttSurekh /xxxxx fonts or any other bilingual font.

2. Save this file as a text file (*.txt), e.g. wwe.txt with TAB Delimited option

3. Open the ISM Engine and click on Converter button under TOOLS

4. Click on Converter Tab and select the text file to be converted by clicking on the Open button. E.g. wwe.txt

5. Select the language as Devnagri

6. Select the input format as Bilingual 7. Give name to the converted file by clicking on the Save button, e.g. wwe CONV.txt 8. Select the Output Format as Unincode

9. Click on the Convert button.

10. Open this converted file, e.g. wwe CONV.txt in MS-EXCEL. - Make sure you have selected the Text Files option in the file Format drop down box.

11. In the text import wizard follow screen commands, NEXT till you reach FINISH button. (Step 1 to 3 to Step 3 to 3)

12. Select the worksheet and change the font to DVOT-SurekhMR/DVOT-Surekh as required and save the file as an excel document.

CONVERSION IN MSWORD Note: Lotus Wordpro files have to be first exported /saved in RTF format before they can be converted to UNICODE fonts. 1. A ms-word file typed using DVB-TTSurekh font would appear like this in MS-Office 2007/2010

2. Click on the Add-Ins Tab --> click on ISM Tab --> Click on Convertor button

3. Select Unicode from the Convert to window and click on Convert button 4. Click Yes if you want to save the converted text in a NEW file, else click No in case you want to save the converted text in the SAME file.

5. After conversion is over readjust the font size and also change the font to DVOT-SurekhMR to change the NUMERALS to Indian Numerals
