FACT SHEET ON PUNJAB


The 16th Lok Sabha elections would be held in the 13 Parliamentary Constituencies of Punjab on
single poll day, namely April 30, 2014. Polling will be held at 21,957 polling stations spread
across 13,574 polling station locations. Out of the states total of 1,92,07,252 electors as on 2nd
January 2014, 26.83% are in the age group 1829 while women constitute 47.35%. The poll
expenditure limit per candidate for all constituencies in the state is Rs.70 lakhs.
