Bush design tool test plan

It is plan to test tools by two different methods. First method consists in testing the macro on existing bushes from your own program. Second method consists in testing the macro on typical bushes with frozen entry data. For both test methods, a feedback is expected (ie: calculation problem, bug, ergonomic problem, comment) 1. Test on existing bush - Starting hypothesis: o Test on one bush with pin >55mm o Test on one bush with pin <55mm - Calculations o If existing, calculation of each bush with paper standard (possibly with ITP own tool (ie. Excel file)) o Calculation of each bush with CATIA bush design tool - Outputs o Existing bush 3D model o Tool built bush 3D model o Sizing report of existing tool (if any) o Screen shots of tool tabs Test to be deployed on: o A320 o A380/LR o A400M o Gloucester program TBD by focal point o Toronto program TBD by focal point

2. Test of two bushes with input data as per data below - Inputs o Case study data given hereafter Pin diameter of 25mm Pin diameter of 60mm - Calculations o Calculation of each bush with paper standard only (possibly with ITP own tool (ie. Excel file)) o Calculation of each bush with CATIA bush design tool - Outputs o Tool built bush 3D model o Sizing report of existing bush (if any) or excel sizing screenshot o Screenshots of tool tabs

CASE 1: 25 Parameters of the bush: Pin diameter is 25mm Program is civilian Bearing margin target is 8% Flange margin target is 10% Fitting material is steel Bush material is bronze (no high resistance) Axial load is 100000N Radial load is 100000N Pin functional case is rotating pivot point moving under limit load (dynamic joint) Flange functional case is stationary pivot point with removable bushing subjected to limit load (static joint) Greasing is performed between two bushes Bush has 6 bar grooves Discharging is between two bushes Inner diameter of the bush and housing are H7 ISO fit Bush outer ISO fit is h6 Bush is cooled and housing heated while assembling Bush is coated with zinc and housing with MCAC plus primer paint. Target is 0.2% interference between housing and bush

CASE 2: 60 Parameters of the bush: Pin diameter is 60mm Program is military Bearing margin target is 12% Flange margin target is 14% Fitting material is titanium Bush material is bronze (high resistance) No axial load Radial load is 600000N Pin functional case is rotating pivot point moving under limit load (dynamic joint) Flange functional case is stationary pivot point with removable bushing subjected to limit load (static joint) Greasing is performed by the lug Bush has circ. groove positioned at 30mm from flange with 8 bar grooves/greasing holes Bush is not discharger of grease Inner diameter of the bush and housing are H8 ISO fit Bush outer ISO fit is h7 Bush is cooled and but housing at ambient temperature while assembling There are no protections on bush or housing Target is 0.04 clearance on assembly
