To comply with your stringent laboratory standards (e.g. GLP, GMP, FDA) eVol can be easily calibrated to ensure accurate dispensing at all times. The gravimetric calibration procedure is simple, intuitive and can be performed at appropriate intervals. Calibration factors can be stored for up to ten XCHANGE syringes and can be quickly loaded when the syringe is changed. The new eVol XR enables use of the 1mL eVol syringe, increasing dispensing volume range from 200 nL to 1 mL across 5 syringe capacities and expanding eVol applications in your laboratory.

MEPS Syringes
MEPS (patent pending) performs the same function as SPE, namely the purification or speciation of samples, but with some significant differences: 1.) MEPS can easily be semi-automated using eVol hand-held automated analytical syringe 2.) MEPS can be fully automated the sample processing, extraction and injection steps are performed on-line using the same syringe 3.) MEPS is applicable to GC and LC 4.) Significantly reduces volume of solvents and sample needed
Sample Size and Sensitivity:

Sample volumes as small as 10L can be used or larger samples, 1mL or more, may be concentrated by taking multiple aliquots of 100L or 250L
Re-useable
Typical BIN life is conservatively about 40-100 samples but actual life is dependant on the sample matrix. The small quantity of phase in the MEPS BIN can be easily and effectively washed between samples, which removes the possibility of carry-over. This process simply is not practical on conventional SPE devices.
Flexible and easy to use:

MEPS BINs are available in a variety of common SPE phases. The dimensions of the sorbent bed ensure that the sorbent performance remains identical to conventional SPE devices used for extraction of similar samples Sample preparation for complex biological samples is readily adapted to MEPS and reduces the volume of sample and reagents required for extraction when compared with conventional SPE and other "micro extraction procedures". The MEPS approach to sample preparation is suitable for reversed phases, normal phases, mixed mode and ion exchange chemistries. Because MEPS BINs can be used for sample volumes as small as 10L it makes them particularly well suited to on-line use with LC-MS analysis of volume limited samples.

0.5L to 5L Plunger-In-Needle Syringes
With the ability to inject down to 50nL with high precision and accuracy, Plunger-In-Needle Syringes are perfect for nanovolume capillary chromatography injection. Sample is only drawn into the needle, not the syringe barrel. When the plunger is depressed, sample is completely dispensed by the plunger that extends right to the tip of the needle.
NOTE: The plungers and needles are matched sets and must be replaced as a set.

Xchange Syringes
CTC Analytics has - in collaboration with SGE Analytical Science - released the new XCHANGE option which is fully implemented on the PAL-xt platforms. Automated syringe exchange enables new application possibilities with enhanced flexibility. The XCHANGE coupling system secures and locks the syringe in place. This is achieved by a mating mechanical piece that captures the syringe and a magnet that automatically aligns elimi-ting the need for springs, screws, or alignment gauges. Once engaged, the syringe is locked into position requiring zero holding force.
The main features are:
Injection of small and large volumes in one sample sequence Adding of inter-l standards without cross contami-tion Preventative exchange of syringe when using harmful media Choice of 9 different syringe volumes
An Upgrade kit available through CTC is needed to switch standard CTC units for use with PAL XCHANGE syringes.

Repeating Adapter
The SGE RAX repeating adaptor improves precision and reproducibility when repeatedly dispensing the same volume manually. The RAX is suitable for syringes with capacities from 500 nL through to 500 L. One RAX adaptor can be used on both 6.5mm OD and 8mm OD syringe barrels. It has easy to use finger grips and can be set to any desired volume. The RAX can be used as added protection against both plunger blow out at elevated pressures and plunger bending. The flat sides allow it to sit securely on the bench with the needle in a raised position helping to prevent damage from rolling. The RAX is supplied with an innovative double-ended tool to facilitate assembly, it can easily and quickly be installed and if required it can readily be removed, replaced or swapped between syringes.
