Niyama = observance or discipline. Niyamas speak to our relationship with our inner world. They create an infrastructure, like a set of guardrails that steer us toward positive change. SAUCHA %&' Purity. Cleanliness and clarity of body, mind, and emotions. Avoiding contamination. Being mindful of what we ingest or take in (food, medicinals, entertainment, ideas), the environments we inhabit, and what emotions and intentions we hold. Relating to and loving our bodies from a place of innocence, protecting our minds from limiting beliefs and thoughts, and enjoying a rich emotional life. What is your personal denition of purity?
