ancillaries. This feature gives teachers
full access to content while planning from

on-demand professional development courses directly to StoryTown’s
teachers. The videos are accessible from within ThinkCentral and can
be downloaded to an MP4 player or viewed on the computer. Video
Podcasts allow busy teachers to get the reinforcement and additional

Enrichment CD Products
StoryTown features two CD-based programs to enhance students’ comprehension and
phonemic awareness and phonics—Comprehension Expedition and Splash Into Phonics.
Both are filled with captivating games and activities that entertain young learners as they
reinforce their phonics and comprehension skills. A Teacher Management System
is included for tracking student progress.
In Splash Into Phonics (Grades K–3) games and activities are
submerged in scenic ocean destinations, such as a coral reef
or a sunken ship, that provide the background for reinforcing
tested phonics instruction in StoryTown.
Comprehension Expedition’s (Grades 4–6) Special Agent
Bird takes readers on exciting expeditions through swamps,
forests, mountains, and more! Their journey provides
practice and reinforcement of comprehension skills taught
and tested in StoryTown.
