2. (a) The end P of a line PQ is 30 mm above HP a nd 35 mm in front o f VP. The line is inclined at 35 to t he HP. Its top view i s 70 mm long a nd inclined at 40 to XY. Draw the projections of the straight line. Find th e true length a nd inclination o f t he line with the VP. (20) OR 2. (b) A circular plate of 60 mm diameter has a hexagonal hole of 20 mm sides centrally punched. Draw t he projections of t he lamina resting on t he HP with its surface inclined at 30 to t he HP and th e diameter through the point on which th e lamina rests on HP i s inclined at 50 to VP. Any two parallel sides o f t he hexagonal hole are perpendicular to th e diameter of t he circular plate passing through th e point on which it rests. Draw t he projections. (20) 3. (a) A cone, diameter o f base 55 mm a nd height 60 mm, is resting on H.P. on one of its generators with axis parallel to V.P. Draw t he projections of t he cone. (20) OR

3. (b) Draw th e top a nd front views o f a rectangular pyramid o f sides of base 20 25 mm and height 35 mm when it lies with one of its triangular faces containing t he longer edge of t he base on HP. This longer edge containing t he triangular face lying on HP i s perpendicular to VP. (20) 4. (a) A square pyramid of base side 25 mm and height 40 mm rests on HP with its base edges equally inclined to VP. It is cut by a plane perpendicular to VP a nd inclined at 30 to HP meeting th e axis at 21 mm from t he base. Draw t he sectional top view a nd true shape of the section. (20)

4. (b) Draw the development of t he lower portion o f a cylinder o f diameter 50 mm and axis 70 mm when sectioned by a plane inclined at 40 to H.P an d perpendicular to V.P and bisecting th e axis. (20) 5. (a) A cylinder o f diameter o f base 60 mm a nd height 70 mm rests with its base in HP. A section plane perpendicular to VP and inclined at 45 to HP cuts the cylinder such that it passes through a point on th e axis 50 mm above t he base. Draw t he isometric projection o f the truncated cylinder showing th e cut surface. (20)
