Necessary Requirements for Job Applicants

:Introduction
Nowadays the world has so many fields of work. Having multiple fields means having a variety of jobs to set the wheels of work in motion. As a result there are a lot of workers in every possible field applying for work daily. Choosing the perfect capable employee among many applicants applying for a job is no easy task by any means. Here we will discuss the basic standards upon which finding a competent worker is based, like educational qualifications, licenses, knowledge, e perience, status, and social skills. !e will also present a model demonstrating what we think of what sufficient qualifications .should be like

:Education
"ducational qualifications are the first thing a manager considers when offering a job. #t is also the first thing he reads when reading a resume. "ducation is one of the most powerful elements of model training in a career. #t is how the country visions the way in which employees perform their tasks regarding a certain field. #f the mentioned education of a certain worker is unrelated to a certain job or far from its area of .e pertise the chances of employing that worker are slim Preparatory school $reparatory school is a school which students attend between primary school and High school in places that use three levels of schooling, usually between the ages of %&'%% and %('%). *ince middle school graduates are still children they don+t have a lot of work e perience nor do they have sufficient educational training that could enable them for work. ,hus only jobs they could perform are odd jobs or become janitors, dustmen, or .waiters at restaurants High School High school graduates acquire the basic knowledge and training of some jobs. ,hey can work as tutors when they e cel at certain subjects, they can also write essays or type documents provided they have sufficient e perience and speed. *ometimes High schools have additional training courses for certain jobs,

thus enabling students to work as soon as they graduate, like secretarial skills -typing, computer use, and stenography., and artistic skills -sewing, painting, printing, and musical skills., or .even fi ing and maintaining machinery : ollage !egree Almost all speciali/ed careers now require collage degree. ,his resulted in having unprecedented number of collage applicants. *adly, this resulted in some negative effects like raising high school qualifications needed for applying for collage in an unsuccessful try to lighten the burden. Also, collage facilities .are no longer able to accommodate students :"aster#s !egree A master0s degree is an academic degree granted to individuals who have undergone study demonstrating a mastery or high'order overview of a specific field of study or area of professional practice. !ithin the area studied, graduates are posited to possess advanced knowledge of a speciali/ed body of theoretical and applied topics1 high order skills in analysis, critical evaluation or professional application1 and the ability to solve comple problems and think rigorously and independently. 2obs requiring a master0s degree often handle sensitive material and require a high'level degree of professionalism

Knowledge is a familiarity with someone or something, which can include facts, information, descriptions, or skills acquired through e perience or education. 2op applicants are required to have knowledge of certain fields that could differ according to their jobs. 3or e ample, office workers are required to have knowledge of working on computers or using different computer systems, nurses or workers in medical fields usually .have knowledge of first'aid treatments or $hysiotherapy : omputer &no%ledge *ince all establishments nowadays process their work through computers, learning how to work on them is a must. 2ob applicants should have computer knowledge, which means knowing how to use te t editors like 4* office, organi/ing data

in files, compressing or sending files through emails5etc. Computer use is so important know that it has become one of the basic subjects in school curriculums. ,hus it is a must for .every employee :'anguage &no%ledge *cience and literature come in different languages since they come from different places in earth. Nevertheless, people0s thirst for knowledge is the same. ,his resulted in learning languages so that people could share and gain more knowledge. ,he need for a certain language differs from one job to another. 2ob applicants are required to have knowledge of a foreign language. #n Asia and North Africa they are mainly required to have knowledge in "nglish. #n "urope and North America they are required to have knowledge of 3rench or 6erman since "nglish is usually the native language. *o the languages of which job applicants are required to have knowledge are7 ."nglish, 3rench, 6erman, #talian, and Arabic

As a result, these employees need to be e cellent drivers. *o, in job offers applicants are required to have a driver0s license. #t is practical to learn driving and to have a driver0s license even if .applicants don0t have cars )I !' )International omputer !ri(ing 'icense #nternational Computer :riving ;icense also known as "uropean Computer :riving ;icense is a computer literacy certification program provided by "C:; 3oundation. the "C:;

3oundation announced that over %< million people in over %&& countries had registered to use the system. #C:; training offers courses that teach using computer systems and programs gradating from basic to high'leveled depending on the level of the course. Having an #C:; license is highly preferred .nowadays

Having field e perience is usually a must in every job applicant. ,he longer one spends in performing a certain job1 the better is the way in which he performs it. =sually there is a phrase in the job application that states that applicants must have > years of e perience. ,his means the more you work the better are your .chances of landing a job

:Social S&ills
#n addition to education, knowledge of foreign languages, e perience, and licenses employees need social skills that enable them to perform their tasks efficiently. *kills may differ depending on the required job. "mployees should be able to work under pressure and manage stress. ,hey should be able to work in teams effectively and in levels of management and personal. ,hey should be friendly enough to co'operate with people and with each others. ,hey should also be resourceful, motivated, dependable, goal'oriented and good at meeting dead lines. ,hey must have high communication level. ,hey must be tactful, social, inventive and trustworthy. ,hey should also be able to transfer their knowledge and e perience to other colleges .through teaching

*tatus usually means the state of job applicants in their personal life. 4arital status for e ample mentions if the applicant is married or not and whether he has children or not. #f an applicant has some health issues or ailments that could affect his performance, it should also be mentioned in status. *ingle applicants are preferred since they are not hindered in their jobs by their lives or domestic problems. ,hey also could relocate or move to other branches easier than applicants with families.

*tatus also mentions the preferences of applicants regarding hobbies or their status regarding religion. 2obs may relate to these issues as well. 2obs regarding certain institutes require applicants to be of a certain religion. Also hobbies may affect a .job of artistic nature ,hese are guidelines of the things an applicant must keep in .mind while writing a resume or applying for a job
