Repaso del Presente Continuo y el Participio Presente

El presente continuo se usa para describir una accin que est pasando en este momento. Para formar el presente continuo, usamos una forma del verbo "to be" y un participio presente.
Ejemplos del presente continuo I am walking. He is walking. She is walking. They are walking. You are walking. We are walking. Traduccin Estoy caminando. l est caminando. Ella est caminando. Ellos estn caminando. T ests caminando. Usted est caminando. Ustedes estn caminando. Nosotros estamos caminando.

Para formar el participio presente se aade -ing. Si la palabra termina con la letra e, la cambiamos a -ing. Si la palabra termina con una consonante, seguida por una vocal, luego otra consonante y el estrs de la palabra est en la ltima silaba, repetimos la ltima consonante antes de escribir -ing.

El verbo Like (Gustar)

Podemos usar el verbo "like" (gustar) con dos formas del verbo. Podemos usarlo con el gerundio (la forma del verbo con -ing) o con el infinitivo ("to" y luego el verbo). I like to swim. (Me gusta nadar.) I like swimming. (Me gusta nadar.)

-er
Con muchos verbos podemos agregar -er a un verbo para indicar una persona que hace esa actividad. play (jugar) - player (jugador)

Si el verbo ya termina con la letra e, nada ms aadimos la r. skate (patinar) - skater (patinador)

Si una palabra termina en consonante, vocal, consonante y el estrs de la palabra est en esa slaba, ponemos doble de la ltima letra. swim (nadar) - swimmer (nadador)

"Hello and welcome to Sports World. We're here in Miami, Florida for the big triathlon. The racers are in the water for the swimming portion of the race. They're getting ready and they're off. Swimmers #6 and 4 are in front but the other swimmers are not far behind. But wait. Wow! Swimmer #3 is swimming very fast. He's passing the other swimmers. He's now ahead of all of the swimmers. It looks like #3 is going to win the swimming event." "Now the racers are starting the bicycling part of the race. The first racers are getting out of the water and getting on their bicycles. Racer #3 is still in front but racer #4 is not far behind. They are riding very fast. And now racer #4 is passing racer #3. Yes, racer #4 is now in front and is riding very fast." "The first racers are getting off their bicycles and starting the running portion of the race. Runner #2 is running very fast and is passing runner #3 and runner #4. Runner #2 is running very well." "We're waiting at the finish line to see who wins. Here comes runner #2, 3, and 4. It's very close. I can't see who is ahead. It looks like runner #2 is in front. Oh, but now runner #3 is passing runner #2. Runner #3 is running very fast and now he's crossing the finish line. Runner #3 is the winner of the triathlon."
