In Morning Worship today, we resume our
series On the Journey with God. Today, we
look at “When I’m Off the Path”
Evening Worship will meet at 7:00 p.m. at
Luther Towers in Building One. We will
begin a new series called “God: the Holy
Spirit.”
WEDNESDAY
Prayer Meeting gathers from 7:00 p.m.
until 7:45 p.m. to intercede for our families,
church, and world.
Kid’s Club meets from 7:00 p.m. until 8:30
p.m. Kid’s Club is a place to play, sing,
and learn about our Lord.
Adult Bible Study is at 7:45 p.m. Classes for
men and women meet to study and
fellowship.
SATURDAY
For the Adjourned Session of the 124th An-
nual Conference, elders and Deacons who
are attending should meet at church at
6:30 a.m.
NEXT SUNDAY
Sunday School is from 9:45 a.m. - 10:45
a.m. There are classes for all ages. We are
focusing on weaving our faith into life.
In Morning Worship, we continue our
series On the Journey with God. We’ll look
at a Making the Most Out of Church.
Evening Worship will continue “God: the
Holy Spirit.” We examine what the Spirit
does for unbelievers.
EASTER FLOWERS
Flowers to decorate our sanctuary on
Easter Sunday will be available again this
year. Choice of flowers is: Lilies (white, 5
blooms) - $8.95, Hyacinths (triple) - $6.50,
Tulips (6” pot) - $6.50. If you would like to
purchase any flowers, please indicate your
order on the sheet on the sign-up table.
Deadline for sign-up is next Sunday, March
9. Please pay Mary Dotts.
Flowers may be designated in memory of
or in honor of a loved one(s). A list of those
remembered will be printed for Easter Sun-
day. Flowers may be claimed after Easter
Morning Worship.

For four weeks after Easter, we will be in this
series about how great and awesome our
God is. Two things: first, be sure to turn in
your Amazing Survey by Next Sunday.
Second, invite people you know to attend
this God-centered time of worship.
THIS WEEK IN CHURCH HISTORY
March 3, 1263: French cardinal, Hugh of
St. Cher, dies. He reputedly compiled the
first Bible concordance and was the first
person to divide the Old and New
Testaments into chapters.
March 3, 1547: At the Seventh Session of
the Council of Trent, the Roman Catholic
church defines its theology of the
sacraments. Arguing that seven
sacraments are necessary for salvation—
Baptism, Confirmation, the Eucharist,
Penance, Extreme Unction, Orders, and
Matrimony—the council rejected the
teaching of Protestants that no
Sacrament or any work will save the soul.
March 8, 1915: The U.S. Supreme Court
finds religious education in the public
schools in violation of the First
Amendment of the Constitution.
