In this lesson I aim to examine what is meant by the term the "Kingdom of God" and to explore how we can create a Kingdom of God. _____________________________________________________________________________________________ 3. LEARNING OUTCOMES: At the end of this lesson, students should be able to. demonstrate and understanding of term Kingdom of God explain how we can create a Kingdom of God in today's society

ASSESSMENT/EVIDENCE OF STUDENT LEARNING: How will I know that the learning outcomes are being achieved? 1. Key concept one will be assessed by: conducting a brainstorm to identify what previous knowledge they have already 2. Key concept two will be assessed by: students identifying times in their lives when they demonstrated the Kingdom of God

______________________________________________________________________________________________ 5. PRIOR KNOWLEDGE: What prior knowledge do students have about this topic? Students might have a limited knowledge of this subject as it would not have been covered in a lot of depth in primary school. However, for those students whom are mass goers they might have heard of various terms and stories such as the Kingdom of God and the parable stories. If religion is practiced in the home environment, students will gain an informal knowledge of the topics being studied.

HO How would you feel if you were a person that had worked the long hours? HO Have you ever come across a similar situation in your own lives? HO Write down three ways in which you help to create a Kingdom of God in your everyday lives. HO

______________________________________________________________________________________________ 11. LITERACY & NUMERACY: What are the essential aspects of literacy/numeracy in this lesson? In this lesson, students will come across new terms such as the Kingdom of God and denarius. By conducting a brainstorm at the beginning of the lesson, this will allow students to see what they already know about the topic. Also by allowing them to generate their own definition following the brainstorm will enhance learning as they are learning from language that they can understand. Also in this lesson I have incorporated a reading element. I will provide assistance should someone get stuck on a word or do not understand the meaning of something. ______________________________________________________________________________________________ 12.
