small children. There is a %rivate room for nursing mothers across the
hall from the Auditorium with a rocking chair( changing table and

enable you to still hear and view the service.

AND THE LIFE...
John 11:17-27

Introduction


Welcome back to the Sunday following Easter! My hope is that
you were blessed by our time of worship, celebration, and
contemplation last Easter weekend. As we reflect upon the
amazing account of the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ, I
want to further encourage you with the truth of the resurrection
and the impact of the resurrection. When Christ declared that He
is the resurrection and giver of life, it is both a grand statement
and a powerful statement. But is it true? Why is the resurrection
so important?

One author states,

If Jesus Christ can do nothing about death, then
whatever else He can do amounts to nothing. If in this
life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most
miserable, (1 Corinthians 15:19). Death is mans last
enemy (1 Corinthians 15:26), but Jesus Christ has
defeated this horrible enemy totally and permanently.

The resurrection is essential to our salvation and the power
behind our salvation. Lets consider the words of Christ and other
portions of Scriptures.



FOUR TRUTHS THAT THE
RESURRECTION MAKES CLEAR


Past

The resurrection of Christ proves He was from God and that He tells
the truth.





The resurrection of Christ demonstrates that He is the Son of God
and supports His own claims that He is God.





The resurrection of Christ demonstrates His power and victory over
death and that He can then offer salvation.




Present

The resurrection is the proof of His present life and ministry in
heaven and that He has sent the Holy Spirit.








The Ultimate Issue...

What difference should this make in our daily lives? What should be
our response?
