--------------------------------------------------------------------INSTRUCTION MANUAL
Series connected Capacitors always have the same Charge. They do not the same voltage unless the capacitors have the same Capacitance C. The Charge on the equivalent capacitor Ce is the same as the charge on either capacitor. The Voltage across the equivalent capacitor Ce is the sum of the voltage across both capacitors.
PARALLEL CONNECTION
Parallel connected Capacitors always have the same voltage drop across each of them. They do not have the same charge unless they have the same capacitance C. The Charge on the equivalent capacitor Ce is the sum of the charges on both capacitors. The Voltage on the equivalent capacitor Ce is the same as the voltage across either capacitor.
In parallel connections Connections of capacitors are internally connected. Connect the series ammeter in the in between the ammeter shown. Connect the 2 voltmeters across the capacitors 10uF, and 2. 5 uF . Switch on the trainer Switch on the switch S1, S2 Note down the reading of voltmeter see in case of parallel the voltage across each capacitors are same. Mean time current flow in the parallel circuit is quite more . Records the reading in the table. Note down the value of current. According to law of Capacitors in parallel the total supply voltage drop of each capacitor is same. By the reading records you will reach at this conclusion. Current maximum means the effective capacitance is more by the factor so increases the charge more , it means high the current.
