Anchor Scripture Job 36:11 If they obey and serve him, they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures. INTRODUCTION
Why must I even consider serving in Christs Church? Why should I be bothered about it? After all, what will I get from serving in Christs church? As for me, I am a seeerious student and I am busy with academics. I am embarking on Operation 1st Class; that is why you dont see me these days. The work I do is very involving and I do not even have the time to eat. Well, if I had the time, I would have been

for their failure to respond to the divine call to serve God and to serve him acceptably.

NO EXCUSE IS GOOD ENOUGH!!!

In Jesus earthly ministry he called many more people to follow Him but excuses rendered them unfit for the kingdom of God. Luke 9:59-62; 59 To another he said, "Follow me." But he said, "Lord, let me first go and bury my father." 60 And Jesus said to him, "Leave the dead to bury their own dead. But as for you, go and proclaim the kingdom of God." 61 Yet another said, "I will follow you, Lord, but let me first say farewell to those at my home." 62 Jesus said to him, "No one who puts his hand to the plow and looks back is fit for the kingdom of God." available to serve but I am busy. You see, my house is far and the traffic is too terrible. You naaa, like you know where I dey stay a, like you go te ase why I no dey fit come Youth service. Man can always find a good reason or an excuse for which he/she cannot serve in Christs church. Whiles too much education is an excuse for someone, no education at all is a good enough excuse for the other. In the same vain either employment or unemployment is someones excuse. Men from the time of Adam have always had a reason

EXCUSE will be good enough if we donot use our

talents and even seek to develop more talents to serve Him in His church. Matt. 25:14 For the kingdom of heaven is as a man travelling into a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods. 15 And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey.

Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. Apostle Paul (Romans 12:11) For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many." Jesus Christ (Mark 10:45)

Matt. 25:18, 24-30 18 But he that had received one went and digged in the earth, and hid his lord's money. 24 Then he which had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew thee that thou art an hard man, reaping where thou hast not sown, and gathering where thou hast not strawed: 25 And I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth: lo, there thou hast that is thine. 26 His lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strawed: 27 Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received mine own with usury. 28 Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath ten talents. 29 For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath. 30 And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. The only acceptable excuse when we stand before God is to have our PROFITS in your hands.

Moses had limitations and excuses too Exodus 4:10 But Moses said to the LORD, "Oh, my Lord, I am not eloquent, either in the past or since you have spoken to your servant, but I am slow of speech and of tongue."

YOUR REWARD IS GUARANTEED

Matt. 6:33 But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. Matt. 19:27 Then Peter said in reply, "See, we have left everything and followed you. What then will we have?"

Your Prosperity On Earth Is Guaranteed

Matt. 19:29 And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or children or lands, for my name's sake, will receive a hundredfold and will inherit eternal life. Job 36:11 If they obey and serve him, they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures. Exodus 23:25 You shall serve the LORD your God, and he will bless your bread and your water, and I will take sickness away from among you. 26 None shall miscarry or be barren in your land; I will fulfill the number of your days.

Your Place In Heaven Is Guaranteed

Matt. 19:28 Jesus said to them, "Truly, I say to you, in the new world, when the Son of Man will sit on his glorious throne, you who have followed me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. RISE ABOVE THE WONDERINGS, THE LIMITATIONS AND THE EXCUSES

Apostle Peter had questions too Matt. 19:27 Then

CONCLUSION

John 12:26 If anyone serves me, he must follow me; and where I am, there will my servant be also. If anyone serves me, the Father will honor him.
