(up 7.24%), SBI (up 6.17%), Axis Bank Ltd. (up 6.05%), Lupin Ltd. (up 5.31%), Bharti Airtel (up 5.06%). Technically Nifty may expected to up from this point, Nifty this week may range 6650-6850. .

On

the Economic front, India has taken steps to clamp down on the growing trend

among banks to convert rupee exposure into overseas debt in a move likely to trigger a rise in onshore restructurings. Prospects for a strong economic rebound in India are dim as industry remains weak, and although a business-friendly opposition party looks likely to form a new government, its ability to pass sweeping reforms is in doubt.

On the Global front,

Credit agency Standard & Poor's cut Russia's foreign currency

ratings on Friday, saying further downgrades were possible if the West imposed tighter sanctions against Moscow in response to the crisis in Ukraine.
