2013 Grant Writing Internship, International Programs in Agriculture, Purdue University +Participated in responses to multi-million dollar RFPs for USAID, Gates Foundation and the government of Georgia (Africa) that will eventually fund various agricultural projects which promote food security, entrepreneurship, and crop storage research in several African countries +Learned about the processes and procedures of grant writing for a large program, which include under standing complex technical projects, budgets, audiences and grant jargon +Drafted new Mission and Vision statements for the department and assisted on the recently launched website redesign 2012-2013 Wilke Undergraduate Research Internship, Purdue University +Assisted with bibliographic research on issues relating to women and gender in technical writing fields +Conducted statistical research & analysis of employment/educational trends in technical communication +Participated in seminar on research context and methodology
2012 Forum for Women in Democracy (FOWODE) Internship, Kampala, Uganda +Completed 5-week internship during the inaugural Womens Studies Study Abroad program +Wrote and designed an impact report on the progress of oldest Village Budget Clubs which will be distributed to member organizations and state donors +Drafted FOWODEs first Gender Policy which will be implemented in 2013 +Interviewed government leaders, community members, FOWODE representatives and members of the Village Budget Clubs during fieldwork in the Kibale District
