Roof Materials & Natural Light - Energy Saving

The Green roof system helps keep minimizing the heat inside the building and minimizing UV radiation from attacking its roof membrane. It also minimizes aging of the membrane from heat exposure. White Cream Roof - reflects more Heat than other roof coating.

ROOF MATERIALS
Special Roofing materials - Imported from Japan - were used to Ensure HIGH Solar Reflectivity (SRI), & Thus Reducing Heat Inside the Factories. SRI: 68 Solar Reflectance: 57 Thermal Emittance: 0.89 Recycled Content: 17% RECYCLED CONTENT Reducing waste was necessary, & Thus Sustainability of Resources & the Reuse of Limited Resources was part of the Mission to Achieve LEED. PEB steel had to work closely with Nippon Steel to ensure the use of High Recycled Content.

Saving the Environment Meant also reducing Waste & Saving on Energy Resources. PEB Steel used a Double Skin Translucent Sheets for the Roof , Walls & the Ridge vents. Big Saving on the Electricity Bill was a Result. Workers Too Enjoyed Better Working Conditions. Sunlight through the Skylight & Window increase the light volume inside & saving electric from lamps in factory.

INSULATION
PEBI Insulation Was Used Extensively With HIGH Reflectivity R value. White Interior Finishing used with This PEBI that Resulted in Very Pleasing Finish. With white metal sheet roof and heat Insulation fiberglass layer underneath will reduce the solar heat into the building & increase the energy efficiency.

Natural Ventilation - Energy Saving

RIGDE VENTILATION ON ROOF
Roof Ventilation is a NECESSITY to ensure Proper Circulation of Air. Most factories. In Vietnam Used Ineffective Jack Roof Monitors JRM. This is TOTALLY wrong. Hot Air can NOT go up, then Down, Then Up!!!. PEB Steel had to work closely with Taekwang representatives to Design the Most Efficient Ridge Ventilator RV. Total Air Circulation meant Roof + Wall Ventilation going together to achieve Best Working Conditions for the Workers.

Insulation & Ventilation always go together. Insulation can not be effective without PROPER Ventilation. PEB Steel made sure that Huge Areas at Walls Were Ventilated Properly. PEB Steel used huge 5M Wide Canopies to Prevent Any Rain water Entering from the Wall Areas.

GREEN PROJECT PROFILE

Project : Vietnam-Mocbai JS Company (Taekwang Group) Location : Tay Ninh Province, Vietnam Building type : Factory - Manufacture NIKEs products Building size : 12 buildings, 150,000 m2 PEB Steel scope of work : Design, manufacture, supply & erection steel building

Project Background
The Moc Bai Industrial Complex includes 12 buildings, Huge Office as well as other facilities. It is the Largest Green Industrial Project for Nike Shoes in Tay Ninh Province. This 150,000 sq.m factory, invested in by South Korean-invested Taekwang Vina includes building on 25 ha in the Moc Bai border economic zone. The Factories manufacture various products for Nike. This is the FIRST Green Industrial Complex, which specified that steel buildings must meet LEED requirements. PEB Steel chooses products, which are Environmentally Friendly to help lessen factors that contribute to air, water and land Pollution.

PEB STEELS CONTRIBUTION

PEB Steel provided a (design, manufacture, supply & erection) steel building that brought the project in on time and on budget, PEB Steel supplied the custom - engineered steel building system. In Completing This UNIQUE Green Project PEB Steel had to Consider the following:

- Insulation: PEBI Insulation Was Used Extensively With HIGH Reflectivity R value. Recycled content = 30% - Mainframe: Steel plates imported from Japan, recycled content: 17% - Skylight: PEB Steel used a Double Skin Translucent Sheets for the Roof.

Innovation and Design Process: Energy and Atmosphere

- Reducing energy consumption through the use of energy-efficient lighting through skylight and window, high-energy performance roof ventilation & windows, high-performance building exterior walls with improved insulation. - Ridge Ventilation: Ridge ventilation RV 6.0 were designed for this project; with 6 m width, it is a most excellent & efficient ridge ventilator. It is designed especially to utilize negative pressure so that the heat island in the factory blowed out and not to be blowed conversely by the outside wind. Opposite sidewalls of its are paved with fiberglass wall-light sheet to increase the sunlight reflection into the space inside.
